I had a manual Wrangler JLU with the anti-spin diff option. I never came close to getting stuck. Only time I got stuck was in sand because I slowed down and it was too steep. I would have been stuck with anything. I still managed to get myself unstuck on my own. Maybe even a Mojave unless I went full throttle up the sand dune and with some high speed to begin with. It's too dangerous for that at Pismo Beach, CA. I went over some pretty rough rocks and articulation up some hills. I was on 35's and a 2.5" spacer lift. I never felt the need for lockers. Although, they are nice to have if you ever need them.

So I went with a Willys Sport with the Gladiator because of the terrible departure angle and longer wheelbase. I was also satisfied with the Anti-Spin diff. I don't really see a purpose for a Rubicon on a Gladiator unless you have a pretty decent lift, big wheels, and are going to be climbing up rocks / steep hills. Your worst enemy will be the departure angle and dragging the belly. Not the need for lockers.

Thus which is why I think the Mojave is the best trim for the Gladiator. The truck shines in the desert, high speed, and suspension. Not over rocks and hills like the Wrangler does.

I don't feel comfortable going over hills and rocks on the Gladiator like I did with my Wrangler. That is my opinion though.
Agree 100%, from Florida and having been in sugar sand, and muddy swamp water up to my windows. A good set of MTs do more than lockers. Also knowing how to approach and depart from such situations. Only time I got stuck was in muck, looked like quick sand. Anyone would've been stuck.

Only thing I wanna trade up for is the diesel in gecko green when available. Diesel will just suit my needs better. My previous lease was up before the diesel model came out, so I settle for gas to see if I like the platform... love it. Might do willys like u suggested.

Well, you could upgrade the the 7" radio you have (subwoofer, maybe better speakers) and the passive entry is like $350 in parts and then you need jscan or a tazer to
Well, you could upgrade the the 7" radio you have (subwoofer, maybe better speakers) and the passive entry is like $350 in parts and then you need jscan or a tazer to make it work. And since it looks like you are far enough north for it to matter, keep in mind the stock Gladiator LED headlights are known to suck in snow. Maybe just add a lightbar for the rural roads.
That's why I love this site, most try to help each other. I've read horror stories on replacing some speakers but I'll definitely attempt what I'm comfortable with. The lightbar is a solid idea. . . I'll search the forum for recommendations.

I got a 2020 Sport. However, it came with nearly every item on the Sport S. It is tricked-out. I find myself asking the same question as you. But, I know it is the Sport.

The S is just an option package on the Sport. You have it.
Hence, you have a Sport S.

Edit: actually you have a Sport S with the Max Tow package as well. That makes a difference too. Not the same as the regular plain tow package.

There is no "Sport S" badging. It's just an optional upgrade to a Sport. Check your window sticker, if you have "Customer Preferred Package 24S" listed under options, that's the "S" in Sport S.

Really?! Hasn't shown on their build page yet. Guess I need to go to a dealer specifically...

I upgraded the headlight and fog light bulbs with inexpensive LEDs from Amazon. Much cheaper than trading.

Great option if you are in the desert. May regret it if you drive in snow on a regular basis. LEDs don't generate heat like the halogens do, and the Gladiator headlights/grille seems to be especially good at catching snow and slush compared to the flush, aerodynamic designs most modern vehicles have.

I decided to go with a smallish LED light bar tied to the high beam circuit for my dark, rural, and often snowy back roads. Worst case I still have the OEM halogen headlights and fogs. Oracle says they are coming out with heated LED headlights, maybe that will change my mind when they do.

Sport S package is the better deal, (24S) mostly because of the autolock, remote start & keyless entry.

Make sure you ask your dealer to add AEH package to it, this comes with the hard top + better audio system and head unit if i remember correctly plus some others i'm forgetting. About $1800 savings.

There are plenty of good headlight options that are less expensive and much brighter than factory mopar (ours included) So going with halogen will save you even more money.

Just remember that you can add almost anything to a Sport S Max Tow. Headlights, audio equipment, suspension, etc.

But, you cannot do the reverse and add 30% more payload and 10% more towing capacity to a Rubicon, Mojave, Overland, etc.

If you don't want the diesel engine, the Max Tow is the only JT to buy.
