But... the reason they're 52 lbs. is because they're just like all other Goodforayear tires; They've got toilet tissue sidewalls.

I wouldn't trust these in the rocks. But if highway fuel economy is your thing, these are the ticket. Notice that they've also got a circumferential tread design that will reduce rolling resistance. They're clearly more concerned with MPG than trail toughness.

Tire snobery goes both ways. HD chose Dunlop and voila! Harley-Davidson embossed sidewals on an otherwise normal Elite tires. Jeez-you would not believe the number of HD riders who believed HD made the tires, not Dunlop. And would be belligerant about ordering/fitment as well. Shrug.
Plus the H-D branding garners an extra bit of cash. But truth be told and it is supposedly
fact... the H-D branded Dunlops have a slightly thicker sidewall. At least that's what is touted.

Wonder why the max psi is 35, it is listed on Goodyear’s site.

Goodyear MTRs have been one of the best rock tires for over a decade.

The new C rated Toyo Open Country AT3 in 35x11.5 is 63lbs. 3 peak snow/ice rated too and look pretty sharp.

I don't mean to threadjack, but what wheels are those? Are they steel or alloy? I'm looking for a rugged set of steelies for the trails.

Alloy, they are KMC Roswells.

I would be more worried about lightweight 35s than heavy ones. Heavy 35s aren't going to destroy anything, but lightweight 35s may get destroyed.

See post above. Toilet tissue sidewalls.

I can count on zero fingers how many Jeeps I've seen with MTRs on them.

Everybody runs Duratracs and Wranglers and they've been notorious for thin sidewalls for over a decade.

You not seeing MTRs on Jeeps doesn't change the facts.

MTRs are Wranglers, so no, Wranglers are not notorious for thin sidewalls. Certain GY Wranglers, sure, but not "Wranglers" and not all Goodyears like you said previously. MTRs have stronger sidewalls than most other tires.

I'm in Michigan where we don't even have many rocks and I still see plenty of rigs with MTRs.

These bronco Goodyear's have received some pretty poor reviews.

I do a little research on them before purchasing.

I installed these on my Mojave and I love them. They seem to ride better than the factory 33’s and they’re a similar weight
