To be fair, I'm basically a 90s baby by about a month lol.

It's emotional which is ok because it's an exciting process to buy a brand new vehicle, but the details.... yeah, not sold on them lol.
Lol I’m 36 but unrealistic people bother me. I have a Bronco reservation…people don’t know about waits or unfair. Know what it’s like to watch people who reserved vehicles 8+ months after you get them simply because they ordered base model, 4 door soft tops? It’s infuriating. My only recourse was just to take shrug it off and move along, no amount of hang wringing would change it.

I wonder since the 2022 are going to production in November, if I will get my Sport S before then.
I ordered it on 6/26 and it's been 9 weeks and still in D status. There are a lot of people on this feed that are getting their orders before me that placed them in July and August. Not sure now if I should just cancel my order and go with something else or keep waiting. If I wait long enough, I should get a 2022.
I would definitely escalate to @JeepChat

I don’t even know what this argument is about, but as a “90’s baby” I found this post to be a little uncalled for. There are indeed many stupid and/or unreasonable people of all age groups throughout the world and history of it. I’ll just leave it at that.

my entire set of comments was all moral compass. Moral compass in Jeep skipping over people for a profit. It was me sticking up for those waiting forever, and no matter how many times I repeatedly stated I didn’t have a problem, that I was in the beginning stages of my wait, you 2 insisted I was “wringing“ my hands for myself, and I wasn’t the one who resorted to personal attacks. Maybe you were just worried that someone might make you both wait in line like everybody else.

So sorry about your Bronco, but you knew that when you signed up. No one goes to a dealership expecting that someone who simply buys a higher level trim will just jump them in production.

just me expressing my opinion that that practice isn’t fair had you 2 in fits.

I will have a good day. Gonna play with my horses. You have a great one too.

well, I ordered last friday and was told 80-90 days. I hope it is sooner, but if it isn't, oh well. I was at the dealer today having my JKUR worked on and the advisor told me nowthey are having problems getting parts that have never been an issue before.

How upset would anyone be with their order if provided transparency, straightforward communication and realistic expectations?

I ordered 10 weeks ago. Jeep prioritizing people they can squeeze more profit out of prior to my order isn’t an issue for me. Not having transparency about what is holding my order or a realistic expectation on when I should expect progress/delivery is an issue. I’m not interested in shifting the blame between dealer, salesman or FCA.

I wouldn’t be upset with the following responses......

_______ part is holding up your order and if you remove it we can move you forward

_______part is holding up your order and we expect to receive it _____

Or we prioritize _______ profit margin until we look to fill your order.

Or We prioritize ______dealership volume before we prioritize your order.

If anything I would imagine transparency, communication and realistic expectations being met would allow FCA to have higher margins on people looking to get their Jeep order sooner and better client satisfaction.

(I can imagine there are enough people on here that would’ve paid an early delivery premium if provided the opportunity)

I can agree with that but at least Jeep has Jeep chat. Believe me, coming from the Ford camp, now that’s bad communication. It doesn’t make the lack of information acceptable but it could be a whole lot worse lol. I reserved a vehicle 13 months ago and I’m no closer now to having an idea when it could come than I was 13 months ago. All I’ve gotten is a handful of emails, “stay pumped!” A hammock, “hang in there!” Or the single email admitting it was all a giant crap show.

Just remember the larger an organization is, the longer the red tape. Building a Jeep, getting to a dealer, financing and you driving away is an involved process, all I can say. Throw COVID restrictions (proximity, occupancy, sanitation, etc), parts and labor shortages along other logistical nightmares at the moment, and we get frustration to the Amazon Prime generation and by that... everyone.

I wish there was answer for folks waiting months with no answers, but it seems to be a miracle it all works without current circumstance within the timeframe that it does and that it does at all given the current circumstance.
