I'm not that tall and I still duck like my father did when trying to see the lights above. And use that visor - I pull up to a stop, raise the visor to see the lights, when it's green I go and put the visor back down. I used to laugh to myself when Dad would duck down and move himself to see those stop lights - I think back to that and recall my parents telling me one of these days, I'd see and their grandkids would get revenge for them (meaning watch out, payback is hell)

And I think to myself - if I, at only 5'8" am doing this - wow, think of others!
i'm 6'1". There is a decent amount of room in general otherwise.

Now that I think about, these days everything is sent on a bus. The switches can be anywhere there's a connection to the bus.

The Good - The stares I get a traffic lights from willful, wanting, wishful, dreaming young ladies driving a generic SUV.

The Bad - The stare I get from my wife when the above happens and I smile and wave at them.

The Ugly - The truck giving me the confidence that I have somehow morphed into a good looking dude.

The bad and ugly: The 5 inch standard radio with no XM and paper mâche speakers remind me of my first car, a 1981 Citation with AM only radio.

My FIRST car had am only. I added an FM converter, and then an 8 track. I later converted to cassette. My second car was AM - again, added cassette.

This is my 70 (recently sold) - came with a real step up - FACTORY AM/8 track! Woohoo!

Jeep Gladiator The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. dash-center

The orange peel on the paint is probably my only complaint. Probably the worst factory paint job I've had on a vehicle
Seriously? The worst? I can think of some others I've had that were as bad if not worse. My F250 had paint no better than this - in fact my JT has better paint. I think the JT is at least as good as my Silverado was.

But maybe your other vehicles were BMW or Lexus or Porsche? Because most American brands are pretty much the same paint-wise, at least what I've had.
And maybe you got one of the worst ones as far a Gladiator?
I guess some may look at it this way- it's a jeep, it's possible it would have 'custom pinstriping by scratch' or a ding or two from being used as a truck so I suppose a fair amount of the Jeep population doesn't look for a mirror finish. Just possible, anyway.
I do care how the paint on mine looks - at least for now - and I honestly can't complain because it matches most other new vehicles I've had - so maybe that will vary with the vehicle and who has owned what.

I like just about everything about my truck except that it shuts off and on on its own at traffic lights unless I push a little button.
That's the "Avengers Assemble" button.. I push "Start" then "Avengers Assemble" and on longer have that annoyance.

Easily worse than my F150 or Tesla, which were my prior worst.

It's a thread for complaining so I mentioned it but realistically it doesn't bother me or I wouldn't have taken delivery.

Not really to complain just wanted to know what people love and love to hate

Let’s bring back the foot button high beam switch
Oh god no. Ever been out driving and pushed in the clutch for a corner and a shift and suddenly a car is there in front of you - how the hell do you hit the low beams? The best thing the industry did in the late 70s was get rid of that stupid unreliable, usually rusted and corroded and oft-failed floor switch, especially in a STICK, no less.

My 86 xj master cylinder leaked onto the fuse block. I either had no brake light or no dash lights. Hahahahaha

And apparently if a master cylinder leaked inside, you had NO POWER brakes, either. Otherwise all it could do is leak down the front of the booster.......
OR, did it have hydraulic CLUTCH?
That's another thing I was happy to see moved - FUSE PANELS. I know why they were originally put where they were, but geesh, leaks and wet feet and the salt and snow of winter was hell on those fuse panels. I've done a ton of repairs and replacements on those things over the years. One of the things I do now is fuse panel restoration for classics. Some are pretty nasty.
