Dumb color. Perfect for a soccer mom's minivan like that, but dumb for a JT. It'll outsell all the actual color colors by an order of magnitude...

OK.... So... I was thinking this thread would finally die. There's finally something to put to bed rumors, except that MY22 isn't actually... So, now we wait to get past MY21.5 to MY22, or does MY22 get a pass and go straight to MY23? Technically, the only reason the model years align with the calendar in the first place is for product cycle purposes, which aren't anything real. Lamesauce.

My situation is such that it makes zero sense to compromise this much for a few months (to a year). If I end up needing another vehicle in the interim, I used to buy/sell 2-3 times a year, and it's nothing to jump through another flip. More mod money.

I have no interest in the greys they put out... except on the Mojave. Something about the Mojave highlights that just works with grey for me.

I cannot fully express how disappointing a MY21.5 is. I have waited this long, can't decide if I'm a bigger sucker for waiting longer or what. If the used market wasn't absolutely insane I'd do it, but it's hard to find one with the options I want.

I’m not waiting anymore I just emailed with the features I wanted. I’m not disappointed. Always gonna be something new the next year. At some point just gotta get over it.

Im holding my money and if something else comes out better, before the MY22 in 2025, than my money goes elsewhere. 21.5 isn't worth it

Just like people who wait for the latest greatest cell phone. There is a new feature that comes out e every quarter... if you keep waiting you will wait forever.

The thing that kept me away from the Tacoma was that it was pretty much a rolling insult. Anachronistic to the point of absurdity. Compromised in ways that made zero sense whatsoever. The Tacoma that recently broke cover on the horizon might finally be rectifying this. Coil suspension all around, new drivetrain options, global platform (this is big)... It used to be the only game in town, and has been getting by solely on momentum from that since anyone who dedicated even a single brain cell to the subject would have noticed just how sad the Tacoma is compared to nearly every other option on the market. When the Tacoma details start to pour out, Jeep will have no option but to answer in increasingly aggressive countermeasures. So far it's just been catch up on Toyota's part; soon they'll have to start the brinksmanship. The less-than-full-size truck war is just getting started. MY23 may very well be worth waiting for. As anything but a brand loyalist, there are likely a number of spaces worth watching.

The waiting seems a little silly at some point… still loving my MY20 and I’ve gotten 30k miles and numerous off-road/camping trips under my belt.

I could have waited for a newer MY and more options but then I miss out on actually using the damn thing…

Good luck to all that are waiting but at some point do you value lost time over the newest color or feature?

I am so glad I bought my diesel Wrangler when I did so at least I can get my diesel Jeep fix until I can get the Gladiator I want.

PS: @FitfulGoat, the past 2 Jeeps I bought I compromised & bought a grey color I am NOT doing that again - too much money to not get what I want.

So it appears the Zeneth is a new color…

Wonder what the carry over colors will be.

The 21 online configurator still lists Gecko & Hyrdo. My 2 top choices.
I know the configurator is not updated though since Gecko is out, and we’ll, since you can’t order a 21

For me I already owned a MY 20 and sold it for a profit a few months ago to a dealer, so I'm very patient ? I wasn't driving it since I'm working from home 100% since COVID hit. But, eventually we'll need a second vehicle again, so I'm keeping an eye on things.

Looking for credible updates on "MY21.5" ... I'm thinking they're going to instead be MY22 followed by MY22.5?
