From what I searched most people have sealed up using rubber seals.
My objective is to reduce dust coming into the bed when driving dusty roads.
Leaving on a 10 day camping road trip so will repot back.

So is this stuff… plus I have better things to do than reapply and reapply rubber weather stripping.

I gotta do something like this. Drove on dusty dirt roads today. Stopped for groceries on the way home. Opened the tailgate and WOW there was so much dust in there. (two week old truck, opened the tailgate first time since running dirt roads)

Been there tried that........Seemed like the dust couldn't get out with the tail gate sealed up. I never tried sealing the drains and misc holes on the front.

Reporting back.

It worked really well. Minimal dust entered and this was w/o sealing nay of the holes at the front of the bed.
All the double sided tape on flat surfaces held up fine. The tape on the curved surfaces started to peel after 5-6 days. Before applying I wiped with a dry rag and then wiped with a acetone paper towel.

Need to find a longer/taller hair that has a better and thicker foam type of double sided tape.

After seeing your original post, I looked for it at Amazon and got an "extra sticky 3M" version of the tape. Product at this link. So far it has held up really well - and I've been pleased at how well it works. Thanks for the original suggestion!
