I’m really confused about this idea that Jeep owners are jealous of people who bought the new bronco. Why would someone be jealous of a vehicle that copied everything from the vehicle they have? I think it’s great Ford came out with the new bronco. I wish Chevy would have done it right when they came out with the thing they are calling a “blazer”. Also if I wanted a bronco… I’d go buy one lol. The idea that I drive past a bronco with someone in it that paid $80k+ And feel jealous is laughable. More power to bronco owners but don’t think we are driving around dreaming of driving a bronco.

I thought they were cool before I started seeing them on the road. First thing I noticed is how wide they are. For some reason I expected them to be roughly the size of the JL and not a full size SUV.

You're giving Carbuzz too much credit. They're a garbage site. You can ignore them. There's no substance or thought put into their articles, just regurgitated trash. Notice how that article is essentially a plagiarized version of Ford's spec sheet with a little flair thrown in.

Without even reading the article it sounds like a "there's nothing to write about so let's make something up".

I really wanted a Bronco since it was first teased. But I just recently backed out. Just too many quality issues, supply chain issues and in all honesty I hate the way Ford packages options to purposely upsell customers. Yeah they are in business to make money. But give the people what they want without making them spend $5k to get options that should already be packaged with other options in lower priced packages.

A Bronco is not a jeep. I wanted a purpose built Jeep with a singular vision. Not a vehicle that is trying to please a large audience. No jealousy. Could care less .

YESSS. The odd body proportions ultimately killed the idea of a Bronco for me - but before that it was that they feature-locked a heated steering wheel to only the highest trim packages. Made no sense whatsoever to have to spend an extra xx grand to get the right trim model, and then another xx grand to get the right luxury package.

This is exactly why I backed out. QC and didn't like being pushed into a corner with options. Vote with our money and took it elsewhere. It was sold from the beginning as an a la cart vehicle, then it quickly was a lie.

Yea as a fairly early reservation holder of the Bronco, I don’t regret cancelling it at all. I’ve seen them driving around Houston and they’re nice looking vehicles but the Gladiator suits me better.

Plus like you said, if any of us wanted one, we’d just order one lol.

The Bronco‘s competition, based on its size, is the Defender. Why it is compared to a Jeep JL is a marketing mystery. ?
lol, do not get me started on the absolute fail that is the new Defender. That was the last Doug Demuro video I watched - dude jumped the shark for it.

Because we live in a time of snowflakes, freaks and idiots.

Dammit. That was a bit too broad of an answer.
Exactly this. And don’t forget clickbait. This is an attempt at reverse jealousy. Bronco owners know what they have. It isn’t a Jeep and they continue to try and rationalize.

They should just stop. It’s like comparing a Corvette to a Ferrari.....please stop fooling yourself.

This coming from an JT owner that was all in on the Bronco. Even tracked them down around the valley during testing.

That's the one I'm mainly talking about. You have to jump to an OBX and get the most expensive Lux package to get the heated steering wheel. While heated seats are in the lowest Mid package and available all the way down to the Big Bend.

Almost every other manufacturer offers a cold weather package of some kind. Heated seats, steering wheel and remote start. Pretty simple. People were screaming for Ford to offer this for 2022. Did they listen?? Nope.

And don't even get me started on the washout interior on the Black Diamond and Badlands. It ends at the rear seats. The cargo area and rear seat backs are carpet. People were screaming about that before the Bronco ever went into production. Again a change that could have been made that would please the customer.

Same here. Probably because all of the early promo shots were of lifted 2 doors with 35s and 37s and that skewed the proportions I had in my head.
