Not much of a update, but I centered the axles today with the adjustable track bars. I also checked caster, which is sitting at a healthy, +5.9 degrees, super close to where I want it at 6 degrees, so I left it alone.

One thing that bothers me is the Synergy Drag Link sags down. I thought that I must have installed one of the tie rod ends wrong or at an angle. Luckily I googled it, and sure enough people complain about it. Oh well. Hopefully it won't smack any other parts while wheeling.

I ordered the Mishimoto intake with their Black Friday discount. I was going with the Mopar intake, but I like Mishimoto and watched the video of them designing and testing the intake. It will perform better than the Mopar one. My tune will adjust to it as well.

I also ordered a Fumoto oil drain valve with their sale, but I need to see how far out it sticks. I'd hate to whack it on a trail.

Where did you check caster angle at? Front side of the axle from upper C to lower C? Diff Cover? Flat part of the Diff/diff cover somewhere?

Yup on top of the C.

I went through two drag links before going back to stock. Synergy and steer smarts. Both drooped and knocked around. I just bought new ends so they would not be marked up from popping them off, and reinstalled the stock one. All quiet and no droop. Expensive lesson.

This annoys me that I just found this out and that everyone raves about them.

The track bar was a worthwhile upgrade, and the toe link can take a hit, but yeah the drag link sounds like hell on the trail and looks like an afterthought everytime I change the oil

Nice!

I want to grab a new toe bar, but haven't decided what brand. Also I want to look into the different stabilizer relocation kits.

I won't be rock bashing my rig. I just want more precise steering and the piece of mind while offroad.

Pretty wild how transformed the Gladiator is!

I picked up a new daily driver:

Mishimoto intake is on! I don't have a lot of drive time, but so far so good. I'll report back once I drive it some more.

I made my own removeable steps to fit on my Fab Fours rock sliders. I searched and searched for a bolt on solution, but I couldn't find anything that would fit. So I grabbed these from Quadratec hoping that I could make them fit. It was a $200 and month long of a wait gamble. I started by cutting off the ears on the steps, because the rounded mounting point was flat at the top, so it had to be cut off in order to fit the rounded 2" slider tube. I then drilled a 1/4 hole through them and the sliders, then bolted them up. I am confident that they will be plenty sturdy to support a full sized adult and not come off. I used 1/4" grade 8 hardware, washers on both ends, lock washers, and blue locktite. Then black, high heat spray paint on all surfaces that were drilled or cut, as well as an extra coat between the mounting surfaces.

Put a cover on the winch, hopefully it doesn't fly off. This bumper doesn't really have enough room for this winch. It is a super tight fit.

Installed a Rock Jock rear carrier spacer. I highly recommend doing this after lifting at least 2".

It will help get your pinion angle back towards normal and prevent premature failure.

Installed the Mopar Trailer Brake Controller. No idea why this doesn't come with the Max Tow package, especially since in a lot of areas you have to have one towing over say 4,000 pounds....

The install wasn't bad.

I watched this video and read through the instructions.

The hardest part was getting the metal liner of the power outlet removed. It took three pocket screw drivers and an alarmingly high amount of force.

I have absolutely no idea where Jeep wants you to put the module box. The instructions are clear as mud. The guy in that video wasn't really sure either it seems, so I just zip tied is to that brace. Luckily I had some thick sticky foam left over from a Shorai battery.

Threedom S+ Key Fob Replacement.

Straight forward install, good instructional video. It is way lighter and a little bit smaller, plus no more stabbing yourself in the leg with the flip out key.

We are getting a snow storm tomorrow, so I wanted to get everything washed while it was sunny.
