Are these people just drunk? It seems like an area where people grew up around boats and would know what they're doing.
It's a bunch of new money, snowbids, criminals and drunkards. Native Floridians live far away from South FL

I know , right? Boat ramps are very special places. People seem to lose all common sense when they get within 50' of one.

One year I was at the ramp to pull my sailboat ahead of a hurricane. A small powerboat came up behind me and I let him go ahead of me because my sailboat takes a bit of time to pull. Noticed it was the governor of our state. He's known as a klutz. Well, his wife comes flying down the hill and swings her Chevy 2500 and the trailer into place like a champ (she's into horses and knows trailers apparently). He loads the boat and they drive off up the steep hill. I start loading my boat onto the trailer and hear a loud bang. I look up the hill and the governors trailer dropped off the ball and was hanging on the chains. They were so lucky it didn't roll all the way down the hill. It would have wound up in the bay. Anyway, the Governor scrambles out of the truck and manages to get it hooked back to the truck with the help of some folks standing around. All this happened with a news crew like 100' away . They were taping the ramp mayhem like usual when a hurrucane comes thru. They never caught on to what happened.....luckily for the Governor!

I am a complete novice, but aren't you supposed to have the trailer submerged so the weight of the boat is manageable and it slides onto the rails fully?
I think the pink attire and the MINI don't help the case either
You may be a complete novice, but you know more than both the guys in the video.

Yes, submerge the trailer much more than these guys.

Did you watch the video long enough to see the guy throttle the boat up and walk away from the throttle? That is nuts!

I had to do a double take and make sure they actually didn't leave someone on the boat to manage the throttle.

I have been on a boat maybe 3 times and never ever pulled one out.
I did see that. Quite dumb, those motors use water as coolant and I thought it would overheat. Even if they didn't the idea of pinning the gas like that yikes
