Unladen, the combined 75/25 city/hwy average is 22; while towing a 28' Airstream, 15.1, average speed of 55 mph.
sounds like in town the lower gears are helpful in mpg and towing And you’re also not in the flats. Mine with 3.73 & 39” bfgs gets about 17 in town and 22 on the highway across I-8 in az (flat) if there are grades involved it’s about 20 . Towing a similar weight but less aero trailer to yours, Im at 13.

Yes, it was dealer installed
So I’m guessing it was installed and a lot model? Either way, it’s probably a tough Country lift they marked up as a $7,500, which I’ve seen on local lots here.

Woot my Gladiator with 2.5 in RC lift no shocks in front and 1.5 in Rustys off-road Pucks in rear, Tactik 17x9 Steelies and 34.5 inch Ironman MTs all around I think he looks like a badass sexy beast like our President. First pic was stock

Appropriate gearing that matches tire size REALLY makes a significant difference, not just "go-pedal" performance. Primarily, you get your 8 speed back! Gear range spacing with the 8HP series is step-optimized, meaning each two gear sets work like "1-2....3-4...5-6...7-8", especially when downshifting. Mine cruises 8th now with only a forced downshift on grades exceeding 5-6 degrees at highway speeds. Previously, 7-8 would rarely show themselves unless going downhill, with lower speed shift splits wonked-out in the 4...5, 2...3 unevens. So there's fringe benefit value in matched gears, even with the diesel (or HEMI, for that matter).

I have the same wheels on my JT but on 18". What is your offset? Mine is zero and rubs on right lower control arm with 35x12.5 tires.
17x9, -12 offset. No rubbing with 13.5" wide Pats
