I got a sport package, but it didn’t have the aux panel. Has anyone added switches besides the ones in the dash? And where did you put them. The dash ones look like too much work for just 4 switches.

I installed the VO Switch gives you six switches and on flashing the computer. Not a hard job around two hours and I was real slow on the dash afraid I would brake something.

I have a question about the different auxilary switch panels available. Are these switches can bus type switches or can they wired directly to my own relay?

I want my switches to be located where factory put them. I currently have a small cubby at the lower right of my dash panel. I bought a switch panel from S-Tech ( don't have it yet ) but it looks close to the factory switch panel.

Another vote for VOSwitch, you get 6 switches too. I need more lights, and a winch.

Do these have the option of using battery power for some things and accessory power for other things? If I wanted to run something and have it on only when the truck was "on" is that possible and at the same time have something that would be on any time even with truck "off"?
The originals can be programmed - so that some are acc power and some are battery power.
Looks like the power button is for all 6.

That's one of the nice things with the factory switches. Each is its own fused circuit, so each can operate independently and provide decent amperage. The brains of the switches are elsewhere in the computer system to allow independent programming. Each switch is then treated uniquely.

It looks like the VOSwitch runs all off the same circuit. That likely means no direct loads, and more importantly a high chance of no independent function. If they all draw their source power from the same line, then they'll all work or not work together. No independence. The product photos I've seen seems to support this, and my reading seems to indicate that you choose to either run all the buttons off ignition or all off battery. Hoping someone who actually has this can confirm/deny this observation.

Examples - loading up my trailer at night, strapping down the car, I'd like to have the truck OFF but hit a switch and turn on the Oracle backup lights (with my sunglasses on, of course)

There would be other things I'd want to be able to turn on only when the truck was in ACC or run mode and that would turn off when I shut the truck off.

I don't have such things - yet - but .....................

i was going to do the voswitch setup, but i found out I could go wireless for much much cheaper. (like 30$). Not have to run any firewall wires, and be able to integrate into my garage door opener. Works great for me.

I considered going this route as it seems to be less expensive and a quicker job, but I decided against it. I saw lots of reviews on different products that were complaining that their devices were turning on and off "on their own", coming out of the house in the morning and lights were on etc.

It seems that the RF frequencies used by these devices are in a range that is commonly used by other devices and susceptible to interference. Ive opted for hardwired or bluetooth on pretty much everything Im putting in for this reason.

Not trying to jam you up, say you are stupid, say you are wrong, anything like that, just sharing what I found - that said, I would really like to hear about your experience with the wireless kit and if it works out well for you! Its possible that most people dont have any problems with these and im just seeing the few odd bad reviews.

I havent happened to stumble upon any of those reviews like that, BUT i also havent seen too many people go this route. I have yet to have any issue with anything turning off or on by itself or any kind of RF interference. I have had it set up for around 4-5 months now with no issue.

My wife has a string of those tiny LED lights that change color or can be set to any color and leave it that way, program them to come on or go off at certain times and so on.
More than once she has asked me if I happened to turn those lights on at some point - nope, didn't touch them. They are operated with a wireless remote.....
One day I walked into the sun room and turned on the ceiling fan - those LED lights came on. Another time I turned on the overhead lights - those LED lights came on. And then other times - they simply came on. I don't know if it was my neighbors garage door openers or something else in the area - there's a lot of wireless signals in our house with the wifi, bluetooth, my hearing aids, the remotes for the JT and WK2, multiple TV remotes, BluRay remote, and who the heck knows what else goes on.
