The beginning was funny to me but after that it was just bleh. He could have done much better if he knew the owner base. I've seen much worse stuff on Facebook and the internet in general in terms of what owners do to their gladiators. When you go out of your way to get attention from people it can backfire. As a group I don't think we are as bad off as Harley owners in terms of stigma. They had a whole Southpark episode dedicated to them.

I think we got lucky this dude doesn't know about angry eye grills and footpeg door hinges.

I was waiting for this to drop. You have to listen to the podcast to get his real opinion on a vehicle but as always, this made me laugh. This is also the 3rd vehicle I have owned which Mr. Regular has reviewed and minced.
yup, that says something
The fact he articulates by cussing and making dick jokes is explanation enough. He is playing to a particular audience and unfortunately they want to see it. I don't know what's worse, him making videos like this or all those people watching it.
very good point. I fear for the future of mankind when see this

Glad after 30 seconds realized I would never get my time back and left that video. But I would like my 30 seconds back

Earlier in this sad thread I saw "get over it" and other comments as if we didn't like it because we were taking it personally or it was aimed at Jeep people, etc.
Maybe for some, dunno, don't care to know really, it's their feelings and opinions personally and it's up to them.
But for me - I laughed at such posts here because - well, if it was aimed at the typical "Jeep person" his comments were people bought certain things because of dick envy or needing approval or caring what people thought, or people were bothered because of that, that's not me.
When you drive to high school in a RAMBLER - you apparently don't give a rip what people think.
When you drive a Stratus or Liberty - you aren't looking for attention and don't care if you are part of an "in crowd" or looking for a lot of "likes" for your vehicle.
My vehicle history includes a 67 C20 that looked like it needed some TLC, a Rambler, an Ambassador wagon, (I was about 18 or 19 at the time), a Gremlin, AMC Eagles, 91 Jeep Cherokee, and more - ya think I really would be part of the crowd he's attempting to insult?
I bought the Gladiator because I wanted a small truck for my needs. It didn't have to have a roof that came off - didn't really matter. (but the freedom panels were a point).
I like those features now that I have it, but wasn't part of the buying decision. I had a long history with OTHER Jeeps, my brother has had many Jeep vehicles (CJ, Wrangler, etc.) and we've had good luck. My wife's multiple Grand Cherokees helped me see the reliability, engine response and more. I'd prefer a I6 but the 3.6 is impressive and the fact the JT had the 3.6 was another selling point for ME.
It's a truck. I didn't care about the military connection when I bought, knew of it of course but it never entered my mind (I thought more of the AMC legacy)
So no, I don't feel at all any of his BS was "aimed at me" - I'm not the sort of buyer or owner he was trying hard (too damned hard) to insult.
- comedy should just roll out there, no need to try - REAL comedians don't try hard, it just happens
Comedy is Foxworthy, Engval, Monty Python, Red Green (Steve Smith), some of the stand-ups on AGT the last couple of years (such as Preacher Lawson) had me in stitches. I found Dom Deluise funny all those years ago.
Roasting can be really funny - even to the roastee, but this was a lame attempt. He had no material and he'd die on the stage of AGT or any real comedy club.
Take it personally? Why? Didn't buy this truck for any of his assumed reasons. Not a one. It was there, I liked the features, loved the size and was ready to downsize. It could pull and haul all I needed and it fit in my garage! Note I don't have it lifted 3" just for show and I'm not running 35" mud tires just for show. I fix it to look fine to me - I don't mind if others like it, but my goal is to be happy with it myself. And for that he totally missed the mark. He wasn't aiming, he was shooting blindly - and with blanks, IMO. If you throw enough crap at a wall some of it will stick and that's his style.
He missed the mark, maybe a glancing blow off a few Jeep owners, but meh, glad I stopped after a couple of minutes. It was more like fingernails on a chalkboard. He doesn't have a voice you really want to listen to and his style for videos - sucks.
That's my take on it and likely most others will disagree - that's fine.

This guy is no Don Rickles. There is no underlying good natured aspect to his comments.

A typical example of someone that is not as clever, insightful, or funny as they think they are.

I couldn't care less about his opinions. We probably all know someone similar to what he describes. What I find amazing is that he would be found entertaining to anyone.

It was funny but did drag on a bit.

One unintended consequence from owning a Rubicon Gladiator is all the attention my little pee pee gets; suddenly, perfect strangers everywhere feel the need to call it out.

It was a minute-forty-two seconds before he even started the review. Honestly, he sounds like a snowflake liberal that associates everything Jeep with war and 1942 Europe. I hope he gets therapy on his leftist issues, he really needs it.

Wow, if Denis Miller had a clone...couldn't stand the original and didn't make it 30 seconds into his clone's dialog.
So, was their actually any review on the Gladiator itself? I'm sure the obvious small bed and solid axle suspension took a beating
