Hello community, snow season is upon us in the northeast. It’s really beating up my (black) gladiator and turning it gray with salt even though my tires only stick out about 1” from the factory fendors. I am looking for a solution (mudflap) that will not take away from the look. Any thoughts? Thanks

I think the weather tech looks nicer even though it appears to give a bit less coverage.

Also, I've always put mud flaps only on the front wheels. I just think it looks better. It also gives you about 80% of the protection since most of what we care about is mud flung back on the doors from the front wheels.

I'm also thinking of picking up a set of the Wrangler Xtreme Recon fender flare extensions. At about $60 for a set of 4 its short money. The rears won't fit but that's fine by me. I'm interested in the fronts mostly.

They are back ordered but I'm happy to wait.

I run RokBlokz along with Overland side steps and it does a great job. IMO, the RB flaps pretty much disappear if you get black and either turn them around so you can't see the logos, or get the XL/Long and trim them to get rid if the logos (which is what I did).

I got a set of Rokblokz XL/Original and I am very happy with the looks and the protection that they offer.

if you have the flaps, does it help in states where you may or may not get hassled for having wider tires?

Wondered that myself. Prob wouldn’t help with inspection but might keep the law at bay.

I’m running a set of the Mopar mudflaps, and they do a pretty good job. I had a set of wheels for a bit that stuck out about an inch, and the spray-back was greatly reduced. Now that I’m running stock Jeep wheels, the sides stay pretty clean.

I'm replacing my Weathertechs with Rokblokz. Since installing Warn Epic Jackhammer wheels (and only 285 /70 R17 tires) I have a tiny bit of tire poke that's causing way more slop sling, all the way up the sides.

I have the rokblok standard length originals on my mojave and there awsome although i think i would get the longer ones for the front to help block salt/snow from being kicked up farther back, but they do make a world of difference. I font have pictures of the rear.

I have Rockblokz extra long/extra wide on the front. I think it's a very subdued look.
