I've been reading this forum for a while, but this is my first post. Great to meet you all!

I wanted to check if anyone's had any issues finding a PCM compatible with their 2021 JT 3.6l?

My 2021 Gladiator that I got five weeks ago has been in the shop at a local dealership for over 3 weeks now. They think it needs a new PCM, but can't figure out which part number to order. They ordered a PCM based on a part number that comes up under my VIN, but when it arrived it turned out that it doesn't fit my vehicle.

Their master technician suspects that Chrysler has updated the PCM to a new part mid model year, but the part catalog hasn't been updated accordingly.

The part number that comes up under my VIN is 68434927AB (different connectors than what's on my vehicle).
The part number that's inscribed on the PCM I got from the factory is 68574282AB (doesn't return any results in the part catalog).

Has anyone had a similar issue?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I can't help you with the part number question, but I'm curious if you'll share what issue you had with your Jeep that lead to a dealer trip in the first place? I had the "Service Shifter" pinball machine error and my truck has been in the dealership for nearly two weeks now. A new PCM was on the short list of possible fixes. They have a FCA Star case going, and I've filed a claim with Jeep Cares, but I'm starting to feel as though neither really means anything at all....

It all started when I installed the Aux Switch from Mopar. It looks like it isn’t compatible with the new PCM.
My truck went into limp mode and threw a few dozen error codes as soon as I installed the switch. They suspect it fried the PCM, but it’s their best guess at best.

Could you keep me posted as you learn more about the new PCM?
Do you have a part no. for the PCM that was factory-installed on your vehicle? Does it match any of the part nos listed above?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

My dealership is supposed to file a ticket with Chrysler engineering to get guidance on what to do next.

I can guarantee that did not frie your PCM. That thing is next to bomb proof. PCM failure is old thinking. My guess is you jacked up the can bus datalink. If you plugged in the AUX switches into the data ports wrong it will interrupt all communication causing a truck load of errors. Nothing is "fried"

I double checked and triple checked the pin location before plugging in the connector, but yes, there's always the possibility that I screwed up wiring.
Or it could be down to Aux Switch's incompatibility with the 2021 JT. I bought it from Quadratec, which lists it as compatible with the 2021 JT, but Mopar.com says it's not.

What would you recommend that I do about the can bus datalink?
Thanks for your help!

[edit]
FYI: the dealership removed the Aux switch and got it back to a factory config. Only then they were able to clear the error codes, but the truck is still in limp mode.

Step 33 needs revisited. Disconnect these wires clear the codes and the car should run. Reconnect them correctly and set the bcm configuration and it will work right

It is in limp mode because the ABS module went offline. It needs to be reset.

Both the switch and the wiring harness have been completely removed by the dealership.

Let me take this to the master technician tomorrow and see what he says…

I appreciate you tagging me here, Lukasz. Sadly, we don't have access to part numbers or part information on our end and only assist customers while they are working with the dealer. What concerns are you experiencing that caused your visit? Feel free to follow up with me in private message.

I have a 21 Gladiator with about 3700 miles on it and I just got a call from my dealer stating I need a new pcm module And he said it’s about 7-10 days out before they get one in. I’m in Utica, NY so I’m going to call around and see if anyone has one around here. And of course there aren’t any loaner cars at my dealer. He said I can come and get it and drive it while I wait for it.

I am 99% sure this problem does not require and control module. It requires troubleshooting the datalink network

It ended up being the PCM. Jeep finally tracked down the right part no., replaced the PCM and got me up and running.

The PCM was fried by the Mopar Aux Switch, which is only compatible with the 2020 model year PCM. I bough the switch from Quadratec, who originally listed it as 2021 compatible. Kudos to Quadratec's team, who owned up to the mistake, updated the listing on their website and refunded the full cost of my out-of-warranty repair. They earned a customer for life.

I still do not see how the aux kit ties into the PCM. Other than one tap into the BCM LIN Bus, the rest seems to be power and ground hookup to the PDC.
