The same winch shows up several times, with prices as high as $400.

Haha my dad actually just bought one of these. I had a good chuckle. I don’t think he’ll ever use it, but will come back if he does!

Funnily enough its probably solid. If you look at the body is the same model as a majority of higher cost winches on the market to day. Very few brands manufacture their own winch anymore. You just pay for branding and it all comes from the same manufacture in China built off a open source blueprint. Some brands may put on end caps with flair to try and stand out but they are all the same. I just gave my buddy my old Ironman4x4 12k cus his Smittybuilt H2OX broke a stud. after stripping them both down to make a homologation of the best parts, turns out both were exactly the same model winch and everything was backwards compatible. the only difference was how much we paid and what brand slapped a sticker on. Hell the new Harbor Freight ZXR12 i bought is exactly the same. the Ironman cost me 600, the smitty was 750 and the ZXR12 was 395. same flipping winch. The only thing that you really need to do with winches like this is actually run em and get a better synthetic line. If your not buying a Sherpa, Gigglepin, or Warn old school stuff. odds are your getting a generic and you paid what you paid to have whatever brand your comfortable with associated with it.

edit: now that I think of it. Project farm even test X-Bull and they did fine. THey ar just thier own branding and all there just is exactly the same that you would find at HF or SB or Warn/FAbtech.

We've run x-bull winches on the last 3 Jeeps. The 9klb version on our 2019 JLUR was rock solid through multiple hard pulls out of deep snow or mud over the years. That Jeep was 5300lbs after all the mods, great, etc in 38s. I did break the synthetic line but that was pulling a massive stump on our property and I had to put it in 4LO and dig the tires in to keep it from dragging the jeep to the stump. New line and it was perfect for another year before that Jeep was stolen. On the wife's 2022 JLUR I stepped up to the 12k. It's on 39s, full belly skids, etc and pushing 5400lbs. Not 1 issue out of it in the 2 years it's been on the Jeep aside from one of the stickers peeled off. My 2023 JTM got the 13.5klb version and I've yet to use it in 6 months, but I'm 100% confident in the x-bull line and you can't beat the price and free 2 day shipping on Amazon.
