Seriously, what the hell are these things called and where can I buy more? I've searched for every combination of white, plastic, bumper, retainer, clip, etc that I can think of, and I got bagel to show for it.

(They hold the exterior plastic trim to the metal part of my rear bumper.)

My niece worked at Yellowstone for a summer and heard a few:

"Who cuts the grass up on the mountains?"
"At what elevation do deer become elk?"

I first encountered those clips a couple weeks back when I had to split the cover plastic on my rear bumper to change out he bezel when I added the second rear tow hook on the passenger side.

Thought it was one of the weirder clips I have seen and they could have designed it better to not need something so niche.

Seriously, just grab the metal clips I linked up above. They're $2 each and they're solid as hell. Definitely an upgrade, if you want to look at it that way. :)

Ohhhh i will. Ive just noticed that i do this thing where i buy all the pieces of a project and it sits forever…probably getting lost in the jeep heap. Ill wait until im closer to doing it to order them.

ive actually used those style clips before when i installed a trailer hitch on my wifes grand Cherokee.

Er, I don't think they are. There are no threads on these - they're just clips that hold pieces together with their own structural pressure. There's no bolt or screw involved.

@Jeepin' John is referencing another thread where a member asked for a part to be identified. It was a flag nut. The great part is that everyone just kept replying that it was a flag nut, which of course lead to those of us with the mental capacity of a moist rock turning it into a game of repeat. (My self included)
