Hello all!
I wanted my ‘22 Mojave ordered with a factory spray in bed liner. Due to an oversight by the dealer, the truck came with no bed liner.
”No problem”, I thought. ”I’ll just go to Line X and get one”.
Then I started reading this forum and found that some people believe that a spray in bed liner may actually hurt the value or trade in value of the truck.
So, since I have a choice, am I better off with a Line X spray in or a Bedrug Classic bed liner?
I did get the factory Mopar tri fold hard tonneau cover.
I appreciate any and all feedback on this.

I have never heard where spray in liner will hurt the value of the vehicle. Most buyer around here would prefer it to have a spray in liner. That being said, I just installed a Bedrug in mine, mainly because I will have a Softopper over it and wanted something that would be nice to put my luggage, trail and camping gear in when I go on trips. Be prepared though, if you go the Bedrug route, it was a 3 month wait for it to be produced.

I have never heard that a spray in liner hurt value either. You are doing the liner to protect your investment. Now if you did it in a funky color, people may not like the choice. I had mine rhino lined and it is awesome. Just hauled a bunch of landscaping stones and after cleaning looks brand new.

Depends on your use-case. I love the look and feel of bedrug. I purchased the mat version while i waited on the full bedrug to ship and now i use the mat over the bedrug with a paint matched 2x4 to hold it down in the separator slot.

I've always had a rubber mat in the bed even if sprayed. It further protects the bed, and keeps things from sliding around.

Thank you all!
As I recall, reference was made to the liner fading, discoloring, tearing, chipping, etc, which in turn, may actually devalue the investment. I had always looked at it as a protection of my purchase.
I have both .
I also thought about doing both!

That’s beautiful! Brilliant idea! I thought about getting the spray in and also using a bed mat. That would probably be overkill for me, as I tend to be very conservative in my truck bed usage. I just want to avoid the inevitable scrapes, scratches, and gouges that come with an unprotected bed. It’s black, so it will show everything!

I have Line-X and the Bedrug BedMat with tailgate cover. This is my third Bedrug and wouldn't own a truck without one. If I were only doing one or the other, I'd do the Bedrug that covers the sides and tailgate.

I had Line-X installed. I've personally never heard of adding a liner decreasing the value of a truck. Maybe if it was poorly installed by a previous owner or something, but I can't really see that if it's professionally installed. I personally really like liners on all my trucks. Especially if they come with those lifetime warranties.

I ABUSED the Bedrug in my F150, and it held up like a champ. I am buying one for my Gladiator.
I doubt it holds up as well as a spray-in

The very first sprayed-in liner I had was on an F-150 I owned back in the 90's. Can't remember the brand. That liner chipped in a couple of places because it wasn't sprayed thick enough. I had LineX and Rhino Liner sprayed into 2 other trucks over the years with zero issues. My JTR came from the factory with the sprayed-in liner, and it's awesome. My brother had a bed rug in his last truck, and he ultimately wished he had gone with a spray-in liner. A lot of it depends on what you plan on hauling in your bed. If you might haul anything that would stain the bed rug (i.e. oil from parts, chemicals that would bleach it, etc.), that's something to consider too.

I just want to remind everyone that RealTruck offers 25% off BedRug products. Or at least that's what the discount he offered me worked out to be.

So that $220 Bedmat XLT is actually $168.
