I cant make up mty mind between a 2.5" and a 3.5" lift for my 2022 rubicon diesel gladiator. Ill be running the 37 k02s that are more like 35s I guess. Also in winter Ill prob be running a studded 35. This makes me lean towards the 2.5", but I do like how the 3.5" kits look.

I just moved from sea level to colorado. my house is at 8300' in evergreen with a long triple switchback driveway with southern exposure. Im going to work on the driveway but sometimes it does get iced up. the diesel doesnt have issues in the mountains so far, gets 25+mpg. I plan for this to be my daily right now, going to sell a grand cherokee i have. In a year or so Ill probably get an electric car for a smooth nice ride so the gladiator will be for snow or rain days, or just using the bed. It wont have to get the best ride but I would like as good of ride as possible. Ive heard many say get the steering stabilizer and pedal monster for the bigger tires.

Leaning towards clayton or metalcloak for the 2.5 or 3.5". If you have a 2 or 2.5 do you wish you had more? If you have a 3.5" do you wish you had less?

help a brotha out.

I went with a 2.5ā€AEV lift on my sport s with 35s and couldn’t be happier. With your Rubi fenders you can fit 37s no problem with a 2.5ā€ lift. The decision mostly comes down to use. In your case it doesn’t sound like you will be rock crawling so the extra 1ā€ height is not really needed for that extra up travel. I had all of those lifts on my list as well but my build is for overlanding and AEV has a pretty good reputation in that department. So that was how I ended up with them. Good luck with your decision.

Mopar lift w/1" TF spacer on front for level after bumper and winch, 35" BFG's. Rides great on/off road, height is perfect for me and the wife. Looks like plenty of room for 37's at this height, should I choose to get them the next go round. Hope this helps.

With 35s. I went with Readylift SST 2.5 spacer lift and so far love it.

What is the height at your roof? I'm on duratrac 35's with no lift now, going to go to 37s and a 2.5 lift soon and only have about 5" of space left before my truck will hit the garage door.

If you are considering Clayton or metal cloak and have a diesel i would do a clayton. Metal cloaks springs are pretty soft and tend to sink a lot with diesel weight Claytons run a little tall so a 2.5 Clayton may be good for you I got the 3.5 from Clayton for me but i will be running 38s

I plan to go 3-3.5" lift when I get to that point, but have no idea what lift to go with yet. AEV looks solid and simple, others like OME/ARB offer the choice of different rear springs to plan for added weight as my build progresses. Does anyone know of other lift manufacturers that give you different ride options? I'd rather start off a little stiff and bouncy and have it settle in some, than get a cap, fridge, tent and all and have it be too soft and sagging.

For myself .... it was all about the truck fitting in the garage. That was the limiting factor. Love my 2 in mopar lift with a 3/4 inch front spacer. Plenty of room for 35 or 37 in the future. Plus. Height wise .... the truck will fit.

JTR (gas) with 3.5" lift here, and KO2 37's- the height is perfect for me. I do have dual steering stabilizer and pedal commander. FYI, my KO2s measured out right at 36.5".

I ran 35s on 2.5" for a year before moving to 37s on 2.5". I've got Skyjackers Long Travel Springs, and barely graze the fenders when a wheel leaves the ground. If I had Rubi flares, I would never even touch them. I will say that the truck moves 35s easy with stock gearing, but 4.88s on 37s, and it's a smoke show.

I PM’d you as well as we’re close to each other, but to answer one question, mine’s probably 3ā€ in front and 3.5ā€ in the rear. Having wheeled it like this, I’d have been disappointed with 2.5. Can you fit the tires? Sure. But I think it clears more obstacles at this height and rides great as my daily driver and towing vehicle. No issues at 80mph. It probably wouldn’t matter much if it’s not going off road. If it is, I’d lean towards 3-3.5. I’d say that with 35’s or 37’s.
