New tires yesterday. I liked the original Falken tires. I let them go too long before rotating tires, and they got noisy. I went with 35x11.5 tires both so I could use the original wheels and I could stay in the fenders. Ahhhh, it's good to have a quiet ride again. :)

Been considering these same tires...35's, not too heavy and load range C. Still got a few miles left on the current KO2's though. Maybe I can catch a sale in the next 10K miles.

Looking good. I think i might go with these as well for my JTR. At @28k miles my OE Falkens are getting noisy..especially at very low speeds (coming to a stop) for some reason.

I also think I get a 2-2.5 budget lift as well....but do not want to have to get new wheels.

Now is the time to figure out how much air I want to put in the tires. The tire shop put in 40 pounds. The tire (load range C) is rated for 2910 pounds at 50 psi. The advertised weight of my Gladiator is 5150 pounds (I'm going to weigh it this afternoon).

The door tag is confusing. Front axle capacity is shown as: 3100 pounds
Rear axle capacity is shown as: 3750 pounds
Gross vehicle weight si shown as: 6250 pounds

Note that none of those numbers add up to equal anything logical. :)

The Toyo tire chart shows inflation pressures for various weights. Note that this is per tire.
2335 pounds @ 35 psi
2540 pounds @ 40 psi
2745 pounds @ 45 psi
2910 pounds @ 50 psi

My first gues is that I will run the tires at 37 pounds to keep the alarm turned off. :) At that pressure the weight capacity of the tires will exceed both axles. Math tells me that 37 psi in the tires is good for 2460 pounds. Tire capacity at 37 psi for each axle = 2460 x 2 = 4920 which yeilds a generous safety margin.

Now all I need is real world weights and observations regarding tread wear and tire contact patch.

Whew!! This is complicated.

Here is a short movie from the White Rim Trail in Utah. Gladiators rock!

Oh yeah - the biggest plus for the Toyo tires is that they weigh virtually the same thing as the Falken tire I took off.

Actual weight at the CAT scales at the local ruck stop - 5360 pounds. (2780 F, 2580 R) I'm pretty happy with that given that I have a winch, aftermarket full sized bumper, and a "Decked" sustem in the bed of my truck loaded with tools and recovery gear.

Just put these same tires on my Rubicon as well. I had balancing issues with my Wildpeaks on my GX460 so I unloaded them while they were still fresh.

Have you had any issues with your TPMS? Discount Tire swapped them on at 1,000 miles on the Jeep. I am intermittently losing a pressure reading on one wheel every few drive cycles.

I am running the same tire in 285/75/17 also LR C I run them at 36-37psi cold, so far wear has been very even and ride is smooth. I have around 15k miles on mine.

No TPMS issues. Thanks for the feedback on tire pressure. My Falken Wildpeaks were getting very nosiy. the fronts showed uneven wear (scalloped). One tire was worse than the other.

BTW, my old tires sold overnight on Facebook marketplace. I delivered them today at lunch. While I was out, I had to take one more photo. :)

How do you like those tires? Are they Toyos ? Any difference in feel, handling, mileage, comparing to the stock Falkens?
