For anyone who cares. My buddies 2022 Ford Broncos outer banks ordered in December 2021, just got on the lot late this afternoon. He takes delivery on Monday. Sales man called him and said they had to do their inspection on it and then he would come in Monday afterwards. He will be out the door for around $57,000 after destination charge and tax and tax. Built for $54,000

We got one on order, we ordered ours end of February, a 4 door Solid black one, just a base model with Sasquatch package, hard top, front steel bumper with bull bar. Comes with lockers and 4.7 gears also steel fenders added and hardtop with 2.7 engine. We were at $46,400 on ours. We haven't got a Vin yet but we are thinking about switching to a 2 door with the same options but adding a soft top and the switches. They told me if we dropped down to a 2 door we would be at $43,125, I'm thinking we may end up going that route, I'm digging the 2 doors and so is my wife. I'll keep the JT and our BMW X5 50i if we go that route.

I haven't read details, but wasn't this more of a vender problem with valves? Sxxt happens. We've got our own issues with seals, hot diesels and cams.
Vendors can screw up and this isn't a first by any means, nor will it be the last.
"Dozens" is the number I saw. Limited number, problem found, resolved, fixed moving forward. In other words, once those are found and fixed, there won't be more new engines blowing up.

Am I right........... or did I miss something in some article while we wait for some engineer to figure out how to actually make an axle housing oil seal work for the first time or wait for someone to figure out you shouldn't be using needle bearings in those narrow follower wheels.

Perhaps the admin wants to move this to "other vehicles" discussion since it's not at all a Gladiator topic?

To be fair it’s only been the Broncos that have reliability issues. Chrysler/Dodge has had way more than Ford has over the years.
I’d have to disagree. We bought a brand new F350 a few years back. Nothing but problems one behind the other. Had a Focus RS bought new as well. Nightmare that was never fixed. We got rid of both for a Gladiator and a JLR, respectively. Ford quality has nosedived in the past 20 years or so imo. I’ll never buy another Ford.

I've owned 3 Ford Probes, 4 Mustang GTs, 2 Ford Escapes, and 2 Ford Focuses, just a few of the nearly 50 cars me and the wife have bought in 25yrs of marriage and I never had a problem out of any of them. Have friends and uncles who own Ford F150's and that's what we have as our company vehicles at work, some with over 200,000 problem free miles. If you read enough on the internet you will find problem childs in ever make and model, plenty of horror stories on this forum alone about Jeep Gladiator failures. I find it hilarious when these threads pop up bashing the Broncos. Sounds like a hint of jealousy to me.

I have driven the 2.7 Bronco and it will leave a smile on your face with the amount of power and torque it has compared to the JT but I wouldn't give up my JT for one because I need a truck.
No jealousy at all here. I wanted to love the Bronco. I followed all the news since the original concept came out years ago, fully intending to buy one if they made it. You couldn’t give me one now though, unless I could flip it. If you follow their forum, which I have fairly extensively, the Bronco rollout has been the biggest shit show in modern vehicle history. They’ve had significant problems with drivetrain, a total fiasco with the tops, and suspension issues as well. I’m not a fanboy of any one brand, having owned Chevrolets, Toyotas, Hondas, Subarus, Dodges, Plymouths, Fords, Buicks, and Jeeps in my time. Yes, you can find horror stories about any brand, but modern Fords have got to be well beyond average with respect to major issues with their lineup. They’ve been hot garbage for a while now. And there’s just no excuse for the beta level product that they rolled out and called Bronco. I honestly wish you the best on the one you have ordered though. I hope it gives you many trouble free miles. If I was a betting man though…

Then you just got a lemon, because ford is notorious for having some of the most reliable around more so than the others.

I’ve just seen the Bronco as being reported as not being reliable, look at consumer reports, they’ll show that Ford is among the most reliable in comparison to other brands.

Obviously your just reading forums where guess what people go to rant and rave about their issues they are having or they go to put their brand on a pedestal. I'll bet if you ask 10 people driving gladiators if they are registered on this forum in a day only about 2 out of 10 will even know what your talking about. I talked to 4 Gladiator owners last week and none of them even knew about this forum. My point is only a hand full that buy are on the forums and mostly to either to find out about a issue they are having or to say I love my vehicle.

On the flip side I talked to 3 Bronco owners this month, 1 who has owned his for about 9 months, 26,000 miles, riding on 37's with the Sasquatch package, 2.7 engine, not a single issue. I work beside RTR Racing, they get a new Bronco about every 2 or 3 weeks in their shop doing different things to them.

I'm not saying they rollout wasn't a disaster because we can all say yes it was pretty bad but that doesn't mean Ford makes a bad product, that just means they suck at PR and have terrible plan Management. Like I said I've owned plenty of fords. A 1990 5.0, 2006 mustang GT, 2017 mustang 5.0, 2019 Mustang 5.0, plenty of other ones, never a issue. I actually have only had 3 issues with Vehicles I've bought. 1 was a 2008 Toyota Camry that the engine blew at 11,000 miles. We traded it as soon as it got replaced under warranty. We had a 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee that the engine went out on at 1000 miles but we had issue with it from day one, got a buy back on that one. 2010 Jeep Wrangler JKU had the Transmission go out at 59,000 miles, I was the second owner so no lifetime powertrain, that cost me $2700 to have fixed. Didn't stop me from buying another Jeep though because guess what I'm smart enough to understand that there will be issues with all makes and models nothing's perfect.

I feel like you guys should be on the Ford Bronco forum bashing Ford, or like I said earlier just a little hint of jealousy there, if I was betting man that's where I would lay my money
