I'm fairly new to this forum but I've had 7 prior Wranglers and I'm trading in my JKU for the new Gobi JT on order. And don't even get me started on Jeep Chat's lack of information haha.

So I've used Quadratec a lot and to be fair, I've always had great experiences and timely product shipping with them. I totally understand everyone's frustrations however. I've got an Rough Country rubber bed mat on order (also backordered) and they've been really good about keeping me informed. So the issues Qtec is having are the same for a lot of companies and supply chains, but I do wish they had a little more information. I don't even mind the backorder so much, but I wish they had even a ballpark estimation. They just have no idea. Can they tell me they are on order from the manufacturer? Have they been shipped and are en route in a container? That would be a little piece of mind and I could plan better.

I've researched the F out of wheels and tires and these are the wheels I want that are White (retro look I'm wanting), and with as little poke as possible (width and backspacing and offset) with my BFG tire combo (white letters out for said retro look). I'm not a fan of much poke at all. So I need these particular wheels for these reasons: Pokeage and color and specs.

Just wondering if anyone had heard some inside scoop as to when they might be arriving...similar to the May 9th Gobi production rumor which may or may not be true, but I think we'll start seeing the Gobi's arrive fairly soon! Thanks everyone!

Let's Go CJ Retro Wagon Wheels Arrival! Can't wait! ?

No, and since they're a Quadratec branded item, there's no other entity to check with about their availability or another place to get them in the meantime.

Lost my business long time ago. Didn't even have to place an order for that. I've heard to many horror stories about them. @Quadratec

Quadratec was ALWAYS my go to for Jeep parts and accessories. I would send a PM to them and I’d hear back in a day or two with a personal quote. Something changed however and the last two times I messaged them it took over 2 weeks to respond and I ended up buying elsewhere. I called them on Saturday to place an order and I spent over 2 hours on hold before I gave up. I do like their website the best of all Jeep accessory websites. Many of their videos are very informative as well. Hopefully they can figure it out and fix whatever is going on with their lack of customer service.

Hey Robert,

I am very sorry to hear about that. If this has not been figured out yet, please message us directly and I will gladly assist you.

We strive to get each and everyone answered and happy at the end of each conversation. The system change has not been easy and the phone calls have piled up. We do apologize greatly for the delay in answers and phone lines.

Respectfully,
Savanna

Hey Savanna @Quadratec ,

Any updates on the original question in this thread, when are the wheels going to be back in stock or have an updated timeline? Your site had had a canned 5-8 or 4-8 week timeline for a while now (8+ weeks and counting since I ordered).

Much appreciated

Just a question...Are they taking your money at the time of order to put you on the "waiting list"?

I'm 99% sure I've never paid until the order ships. When you order something, they do ping your card and place hold on the funds (like most places), but charge doesn't finalize until it ships.

No, they don't charge until the items arrive then ship out, same as most other companies with backordered items. This supply chain issue is really wreaking havoc on all fronts and industries from what I'm understanding. I'm looking fwd to getting my wheels, however I don't even have my JT yet lol. But it's built and will be here fairly soon I'm hoping. I just wanted to put on wheels and tires day one. Speaking of, I checked with Discount Tires and they have plenty of tires and the guy said I needn't worry about the BFG's I want, they have them already, locally, or in-state and can get them within days if my local store happens to run out...

My experience with Quadratec is that if it's not in stock and it's not a drop-ship item, don't even bother. They don't know when it's going to be in stock and aren't going to go out of their way to expedite anything for you. If it's a Quadratec-only item, too bad. There's always a substitute, even if it's not the one you really want. This predates any supply chain issues, this is just how they've always been.

That said, they *usually* provide in-stock product in a timely manner and provide reasonable customer service. Usually. Though some of the recent experiences other people are having are starting to make me wonder about that.
