Only the dealer or the tracking web site can give you a build date - or contacting Jeep chat. Cryptostickers will never inform of a build date.
They only tell you when the build sheet or window sticker is ready.
So if you rely only on that, you never will get a scheduled build date.

I'm referring to the dealer informing you, or contact with Jeep chat, or using the Jeep order tracking site -

This is Jeep - not cryptostickers.
So I guess those relying only on the cryptostickers site - the order tracking discussed back at the beginning of this thread, can't possibly answer. I guess I asked in the wrong place!

Pretty generic, isn't it? Doesn't tell you anything at all, really. The dealers have more info than that site.

Yes sir it is. Haven’t really asked my dealer about anything so I’m not a pain in the ass, tomorrow will be 7 weeks since I ordered and they told me 12-15 weeks so I reckon I’ll just be patient, as hard as it is with a pile of crap in the shop waiting on it to get here lol

Reading this thread piqued my curiosity, so I reconfigured my JTRD that I ordered back in Nov (delivered in Jan).

1654704850476.webp

Original MSRP: $62,045.

It is wrong on so many levels, but I'm starting to view Jeeps as an investment strategy - 401k (check), mutual funds (check), Wrangler 392 (???).
So I waited one more week to order (took some time to make absolutely sure I liked what I selected). Get back to the dealer and he fills out the order with my changes and compared it to the one from the week before.....and that's when the price went up for the month of June....

Cost myself probably around $2K trying to make sure I made the right choices. Oh well. Lol...

I am very curious about something.
Most have reported the time it has taken from their order date to delivery, or at least from order date to shipping date (and god only knows how long shipping takes LOL)
But I am wondering - what's the average or typical - these days, say, just this year only, from the date of order to the date the vehicle was in the schedule to be built, regardless of when that scheduled build date might be.
If you ordered on Feb 21, 2022, on what date was it actually put into the schedule to be built?
Not the date it was to be built, but the date they said "hey, your truck has been scheduled to be built!"
Was the build date scheduled in a week, 2 weeks, a month, 2 months?
Example - my order was placed, and confirmed by Jeep as to having been placed, 5/02/22.
As of 6/06, it has not been scheduled.
I'm wondering if there's a pattern as far as how far down the food chain some dealers are because of low volume, or perhaps crappy survey returns (customers griping doesn't make Jeep happy and such dealers actually lose position in the food chain - dealers will tell you that). IF they only order 2 or 3 a month, and/or have really bad reviews from customers, Jeep punishes them with lower rewards and lower priority.
Perhaps some can't be scheduled because they simply can't get certain parts - a huge problem these days in all sectors of our economy -not just cars. (just try to find a new aux battery for these)
Perhaps a combination.
Just wondering what the typical timeframe is now...... and what people are seeing as far as how long most are seeing from order date to when they are told their new vehicle is on the schedule.
Update: Yesterday my JTR was "rail loaded". At least it's now on a train. :CWL:

Their costs are shooting up as well. Diesel fuel means the cost of delivery has jumped, shortages of parts cost money - downtime, etc. It's impacting all vehicle prices.
At some point, the system will partly collapse if they continue to raise prices without stopping. This has happened before in the industry. It's like the oligarchs getting as much as they can before the next drop. They actually said that.

Well lets hope that our trucks stay on timeline. I'm a little worried about shipping. I have a pile of parts in the garage ready to go.
Me too. I ordered 2/25, built 4/14, but has been sitting on the Toledo lot ever since with no ETA.

6/9 - still sitting in Toledo?
They sit on their lazy butts and rely on some web site to bring the info to them while they play words with friends or something instead of picking up a phone and demanding to talk to a higher up and get information. What a crock - "no information ............. shipper's website." Lame lazy asses.
CALL THE DAMN SHIPPER! Demand they investigate.

If it was shipped by rail, there's a guy staying with our neighbors who investigates and finds rail cars, cargo and so on. Rail cars even "get lost" and this guy finds 'em.

What a crock - there are papers that must be signed when you take cargo from A to B - you sign for it, it's on record as to when it was picked up, by who, and so on. But no, we sit and wait for it to appear on a silly web site.

What I don't understand is that the dealer is invoiced when it's built. Mine has been sitting at Toledo since 4/14, and the dealer doesn't seem to care. They must have really deep pockets since they have over 20 waiting to ship.

Case in point, when I bought my Sport S in 2020, Chrysler was offering a $3500 extended warranty. Money back at the end if you didn't use it. I asked the finance guy how they were making money off of it. He flat out said, people forget and never ask for it back.
My wife and I have both received checks from a company we'd long forgotten about - related to a Jeep we bought back about 10 years ago or more. It was a refund of our GAP coverage.
Then a month later, we got more smaller checks, they said that their audit showed they owed us more refund.
When we bought my wife's 2021 Grand Cherokee from Spencer, he contacted the dealer we had bought the 2018 from that we traded - and got us a refund of the unused warranty for the 2018.
In both cases, we plumb forgot about both things.

I just read your timeline and honestly I feel like that's worst case scenario. Its built, but just lost? Seriously, how is this acceptable! Someone should be assigned to go put hands on that jeep asaply. I don't think I have the patience, I would have moved on. Hope you get some resolution soon.

Well, I already gave them $500. I do have a buyer for my 2018 Tacoma at the MSRP too. Sucks.

I would demand my $500 dollars back, they didn't deliver on the agreement and are doing nothing to resolve the issue, hell you could have ordered another one at this point. I would have a hard time not losing patience and being a real pain in the butt at this point.

That is so crazy. I don't understand why it's taking so long to rail ship vehicles which is probably how they go from OH to NM. Is there a shortage of rail cars? The dealership that I buy from in PA is just a few hours from Toledo so they get everything via a car hauler truck. A couple months ago they had a bunch of vehicles sitting anywhere from 30-45 days and the GM of the dealership emailed the district rep to see if he could get them delivered, and they were a couple of days later. When the truck driver came to the dealership, my salesman talked to the driver and he said that they were short about 50 drivers and had close to 500 vehicles sitting and waiting to be delivered. Why is there a shortage of drivers? All the time I see ads looking for people with their CDL. The dealership hates this wait for delivery and hates even more the wait it takes to build vehicles. They've had people order new Rams that took 6 months from order to delivery.
