I’m ordering my first Jeep Monday from one of the Gupton style dealers offering discount. Coming from a BMW I know that mid cycle refreshes can sometimes add some good stuff so my question is are jeep mid cycles usually a good but different or just minor tweaks like a new grill? I’ve waited this long so I would hate to miss out on good features by ordering a month early.

So don't order a month early. Personally I'm expecting AEB across the lineup in 23 and very little else.

Well im getting the safety package so if that’s all then I’ll order now and avoid the price hike. Im just unfamiliar with jeep refreshes since it’s not exactly a luxury car.

I wouldn’t say jeep refreshes every 4 years like most manufacturers. Software updates maybe but no different looks. The jk lasted forever before the jl so there’s that.

JK did eventually get a interior refresh but it was needed. but they tend to keep the same thing going a while.

That’s good to hear then! Reminds of my Subaru days with not much changing until full on changes.

depends on what subaru, wrx went through headlight revisions until 08 then got widebody in 11, but remained pretty stagnant until the VA chassis.

Yea I had a Hawkeye and my brother has an 11 Sti and I also had a BRZ so I saw the 02-07 not change a whole lot.

Sounds like a good reason to order a month early then.

I'd love to be surprised but manufacturing is borked right now so they're likely going to play it safe and stick with what they have going instead of completely revamping the thing. The reality is that the mid-cycle refresh will come when the hurricane engine is ready for the necessary volume and I don't see that happening until 2024. The incoming recession and high gas prices will likely smash demand to the point they should be able to keep up.

I know what you are talking about. I bought my gladiator with a 2017 BMW trade in and that BMW changed looks every single year etc. 5 years in and I wanted the updated BMW.

Jeeps are different. With the current interior I could see a software update and maybe wireless carplay coming at some point, but other than that not really anything. It is hard for Jeep to make exterior changes without ruining a classic look so they try to hold true. Maybe an engine upgrade in a few years.

Right now they are really spot on with the vehiclle. I love it. I actually love the engine. Easy to work on. I originally had a 1997 TJ and if I still had it today I would be happy, while a 25 year old BMW not so much. That is the wonderful thing about Jeeps. They get better with age, like a fine wine.
