As soon as I back up my garage and head to work it starts to have a slight rough idle when stopping at the first red light I come up to. Sometimes it actually feels like it could shut off completely. Any ideas what it could be?

What is the outside temperature like?
Is ESS on or off?
Is the engine up to normal operating temperature?

I've felt this a couple times, when I first got it, and in my mother's Compass. I usually always remote start, summer and winter, so engine is at temp before I start driving.

In the mornings is about 74 degrees but it is also in my garage when I turn it on. Temperature gauge reads normal. I'm not sure what ESS is though. After driving it for a while it goes away.

The ESS is the Electronic Start Stop system that turns the engine off at stoplights to save fuel. There's a temporary disable button on the dash next to the mute button.

Yeah, I know about that do-hickey. I just turn mine off when it gets on my nerves. Still, I cant explain the rough idle in the morning.

The rough idle is likely from the cold engine. Does it go away when the engine reaches normal operating temperature? I always remote start so that the temperature is up when I'm ready to start driving. Not really safe if parking in a garage, though.

I just test drove a Mojave that was idling rough, not a lot but noticeable. I though maybe it was from sitting on the lot for a long time or crappy gas...

I get all of that but after owning a Wrangler for 13 years and never having mornings with "rough Idle" issues, kind of makes one wonder what the hell is going on. Yes, it does go away after it warms up but...

Did you ever figure this out? I have a 2022 and 5000 miles same issue drives me nuts

No dealer did a buy back and called it a day. I honestly think it was an internal engine issue. They checked cams, rockers, all the typical 3.6 issues and wasn’t there. Had compression everything tested perfect
