Finally got around to installing my fender chop kit, had to put in a bit of work with the dremel and box cutter to make it work with the single piece sport fenders, worked out pretty well, may come in later and do some revisions, at least just to try and get the lights a little more snug to the fender. Just want to thank @XraytecH for sending these my way, they turned out great!

Decided to leave a bit of excess on the inside part of the fender to cover the welds on the brackets, have them be a bit different from the standard split fenders.

Bluetooth doesn't have the bandwidth for all of the data traffic associated with Android Auto, etc.

Doesn't need to share the underlying data ... just the screen mirror, and the inputs. But yes, the wireless Carplay devices, etc use Wifi.

I added some new valve stem caps, Threedom door lock covers and a new Prius killer on my hitch. Although I am considering putting my drop hitch back on because this one doesn't like playing with my backup sensors.

It DOES use BT, but.................not for everything. There isn't the bandwidth.
Note everything talking about AA says - not really........... Even google themselves.

I bet the "other systems" are using wifi direct. (and you likely wouldn't know it)

Could be. I just know I’ve had rentals that I was able to use Apple Music and Maps via BT. I don’t have Android, so was making an assumption on that part.

Yes, like a VMWare virtual desktop setup. But as we found, there's still quite a bit of traffic, especially with any animation, maps that keep up with you and so on.

Don't know much about them. I always assumed that they trap moisture and smell like the carpet that Golden Corral throws away.

I wouldn’t put one in a truck without some kind of “top” over the bed. I have a tonneau cover. They aren’t really carpet, although it’s soft like carpet. They are oil/grease resistant supposedly. I’ve had deer in the bed of my trucks before with these in them and they spray right out and dry rather quickly.

Added the Bolt hood lock today. Requires a rivet gun that can handle 1/4" rivets, and you have to cut up your grille. Worth it for the peace of mind, from where I'm standing.
