Thanks to a fellow member, found out about the ECRI programmer. Ordered it and got it installed today to recalibrate Speedo! What a simple useful little tool and for a FRACTION of the cost of other programmers that I wouldn’t use most of the features on anyways. ECRI took less than 5 minutes to recalibrate my Speedo and has it dead on. BIG PLUS, I can buy another vehicle unlock code for like $50 and use it on my wife’s jeep if we ever decide to do anything to it.

Yes, amazingly simple!!! And yea, I don’t have very big hands and the bypass was still a little bit of a pain, but nothing impossible!

My guy finally squeezed me in and got my 5.13’s installed. And not so much done to the Jeep but my Motobilt bumpers came back from the powder coater and should go on in the next couple days along with Quake headlights and fog lights.

Can’t recall where I got it, but I bought the bypass extension cable. Pain to install that, but once done it’s a piece of cake anytime you need to use it again.

No, that's the bypass cable. And it's a pain in the butt if you have an Overland with certain options as the SGW is buried and the clips really hard to push and pull the cables down at the same time to be able to install the bypass cable. The extension you leave in permanently.

He was referring to the extension cable so next time you want to put the bypass cable in, you don't have to unclip the wires from the SGW itself - the extension brings those connectors down to the bottom edge of the dash.

Those extensions are only available from these people, as far as I know -

They likely sell these to make it easier to get the tazer in and out when you take it to the dealer or whatever.

Finally bit the bullet and re-geared Samson. This is one thing I did not want to take on so I took it to a shop. Figured while the JT was in the shop, I'd upgrade a few more parts....

Started with Yukon D44 Front and Rear Ring and Pinion Kits - went from the stock Rubicon 4.10 to the Yukon 4.88. Went with Yukon gears so I stuck with Yukon for my heavy duty Front and Rear Diff Covers:

Also upgraded the front CV Axles to RCV Performance W/FAD and the rear to Dana Spicer 44 AdvanTEK Chromoly shafts:

And added an Adams front 1350 CV Extreme Duty Series driveshaft and an Adams 1350 2-pc rear driveshaft:

The shop also "tuned" up my suspension. I had all kinds of play in the steering. Ended up taking off the Sector Steering Shaft Brace and replacing my Drag Link with a Yeti XD. Fixed the track bar and now it drives on rails. That's what I get for being a first time lift installer.

The only part is they swapped around my rear track bar, so the 37-inch spare would no longer fit. I talked to @Clayton Off Road who gave me great support through this process. Adam quickly identified the issue of the track bar now being backwards. I had the shop swap it back and now i just need to put the spare back under the truck. I did some quick measurements - should have no issue. Just need to get it back under there.

This has been a huge difference in the steering and the gearing. I am thinking of getting rid of the "Hike It" throttle controller. The 4.88 gears are so smooth on acceleration with my 37-inch tires. Really happy with re-gearing. My wallet is not, but the JT is exactly where I want it to be now.

Having a wife that knows how to cut vinyl decals is pretty damn nice, I gotta say. ?

Love it.

For me, the only thing that would make it better is if Bigfoot was silhouetted in the drivers seat.

Nice upgrades. Any reason you didn’t swap the knuckles while you had the front end tore apart? I’m planning the same work pretty much but will do the FAD delete and Reid knuckles at the same time. We’re the drive shafts necessary or just upgrades? I don’t know how much lift you have.

Cooler drier air moved today. The kind you don't have to chew before you inhale. So Mo got quick bath to get some of bugs out of his teeth.

I have to say, the Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions is still holding up great on all of the paint and plastics.
4 months on.

It is a 3.5-inch @Clayton Off Road Overland PLUS lift. Really happy with my lift kit. Drive shafts were not necessary, just an upgrade. Maybe should have done the knuckles, but ended up with what I have for now. Could be another future upgrade.
