What are you getting used to?
The clutch feel, no low end torque, and not being able to hear the engine.
I modified the clutch pedal to make it sit slightly closer, installed the Idrive throttle controller (which hellped a little) but the aftermarket AWE exhaust really helped the most. In traffic I couldn't hear the low engine revs at all, so I found myself constantly watching my tach. Now I can hear that 1000rpm area much better. Manual transmissions I have always driven by feel and sound. This quiet hi rev setup is so foreign to what I am used to.

It's definitely the most versatile for one vehicle people.
Really the only thing the Wrangler has over the JT is the footprint. And as you lift the JTs and add tires that is reduced quite a bit...even some obstacles showing the JT is better.

Outside that...the JT has more cargo space, rides better, has better axles across the board (only model with D44s on all trim levels), tows more and overlands better (doesn't need a trailer)....heck even the hard top is easier to remove, lol

Buying a Jeep does not enter you into an exclusive club by default. You've earned nothing and it's not exclusive there are hundreds of thousands of Jeep owners. This does not make you special. The same is true to Harley Davidson owners.
Yup! I would add nor does it mean you want to be. I got mine to get to places where no one else will be. And I hate group rides on my bike, I enjoy the solitude when riding.

Hows that relevant? The worst model Jeep and the largest truck?
Worst model Jeep? You must not do a lot of wheeling

At that point the Jeep would be just for Jeeping- you want the 2 door if you don't need to bring people with you.

The truck would replace the overlanding, truck, and DD aspects of the JT. Power Wagons have all the offroad options a Rubicon has, including sway bar disconnects and a winch you would have to buy aftermarket

A JT does everything those two vehicles do. Obviously the purpose-built vehicles do some things better, but the JT can manage it all

That they should always be broken and always have a check engine light. Fix your vehicle people!

I should def do more wheeling. ;). 2dr Jeeps are highly overrated (and incorrect) for wheeling and being the better footprint. They're the worst footprint for offroading, even dangerous.

But the real point is...you went to extremes with your replacement models.

I love this thread so much. Turns out my unpopular opinions may not be that unpopular afterall.

Biggest ones for me:
  • Mopar is not the best auto maker ever. They make some cool stuff, other makers also make some cool stuff. I like a lot of cars and brand loyalty is for chumps.
  • I love the new Bronco. It will push Jeep to innovate - everybody wins.
  • Innovation & technology are good things.
  • The Gladiator is overpriced for what it is
  • Solid front axles are inferior to independent front suspension for what this truck is (though I get that it being a parts bin vehicle is the only reason it exists)
  • The V6 is shit in this application. It's great in the Wrangler, but it's so weak when you add 1,000 lbs of metal for the bed and frame
  • You don't have to off-road the Jeep to enjoy it.
  • Complaining about auto stop/start is for babies. Either keep the clutch in, click the button, or just code it out.
  • These forums are echo chambers.
