People who go on too long posting back and forth about something unrelated to the topic of the thread, and which only applies to them and one other poster. Just get a room.
Because this is unique to the Jeep community and totally pertains to the thread too, right?

That a stripped down Sport, Sport S, or Willys + a new Civic, Maverick, etc is a way better use of your $62 k than a loaded Rubicon or Mojave for 98% of Jeep owners.

Things that won’t go on my Jeeps…light bars., black wheels, any wheels with excessive negative offset, over accessorizing, rubber ducks.

My Rubicon was $47500. If it was anywhere near $62000, I'd be in a two door wrangler Rubicon instead.

Not sure why it's often assumed that every Rubicon checked every single option box, and every Sport S checked none. There is plenty of overlap. You can get a base Rubicon (which is still pretty well equipped) for about the same as (or less than) a Sport S with more options ticked. It's just about what you want on your vehicle. I didn't really need one with a lot of luxuries, so I don't have much other than the CWP and hardtop. The only thing I absolutely had to have was the CWP, because the heated steering wheel is a game changer.

There are plenty of Sport S's riding around with more options, that therefore cost more. That's fine too. My wife's JKU Wrangler Sahara has leather and all that stuff. I don't care about any of that, so I found one without a lot of options, for less.

I just wanted the 4.1 axles with a 6 speed. Rubicon and Mojave are the only choices for that combo. Of course, you said 98%. Perhaps I'm in the other 2%, for reasons in addition to lockers.

I totally get it, but the assignment was for unpopular opinions. I think I nailed the assignment (at least with you). BTW, I think your Nacho Ruby is awesome and that's not an unpopular opinion ?.

I know. That one always rubs me the wrong way, because a lot of folks seem to think everyone just buys a Rubi because they're some kind of elitist or something haha. I bought it not knowing that, because my last jeep was made before Rubicon was a thing, so I'm always self conscious about that one. Makes me want to peel my stickers off and hide it haha. But, in my unpopular opinion, the Rubi hood looks dumb without the decals.

Wheels smaller than 18" look ugly. Maybe back in the 80s and before they looked in place, and I understand they have a functional purpose, but they still look like crap. 18" or larger may be useless on the trail, but look much better than the miniature crap.
Well that's two of my top 3 in this thread now. If I could run 16s like on my Tacoma I would.

I was born in Winter Haven and we never had a/c until I was almost old enough to move out.. Box fans and sweat.
That’s to far inland for that crap! No sea breeze, that’s what made it bare able, that’s the good thing about growing up on the beach!
