Morning everyone! After a Bds lift I noticed my drivers side tire is sticking out roughly 1/2 in more than the passenger. I have a jks front track bar however when I think about moving the track bar out or in i can visually see the problem getting worse. So I need to adjust the bar 1/4 to correct the 1/2 out of spec. Would moving the bar in or out cause the drivers side to go in an bit?

Thank you!!! I added winch and steel bumper so I’m thinking I should stick with the 2.5ish measurements

To be honest the 1/2 didn’t bother me but my drivers spring is so out of spec both the lift installer and alignment shop (that adjusted all my arms) said it looks off but is aligned and angled perfectly.

It’s always the front drivers spring bowing forward enough to rub upper bump stop

So- is the spring weird? Or is the axle out of center?? If the axle is 1/2” off center to the jeep sticking out the passenger side- the track bar needs to be shortened.

Is the shop saying it is perfectly aligned because both front and rear are equally sticking out??

Run a plumb line hanging from the outside edge of the frame over the axle. Find a common measure if point - ball joint edge, knuckle- whatever is consistent and easiest for you to measure from…. Outside to string… and make small adjustments.

I am not familiar with the JkS track bar, not sure if it can be adjusted in place or if it has to be in bolted to adjust.

After adjusting (if you have to unbolt) re-check the bolt torque….. I have seen so many jeeps not torques on the track bar, this leads to bolt hole wollowing and death wobble. Only fix is to weld a washer for center and pray/ or cut off the factory track bar bracket and upgrade.

It’s so weird tho cause the passenger side is perfect i mean it’s a longer spring so it’s not perfectly straight but looks good. Originally had just the leveling kit and same thing drivers side spring bowed away from vehicle. Then went will fill Bds lift with all 8 control arms and front and rear track bars. And still bows out and now forward.

Ironically the car drives wonderful even at highways speeds. Jeep sits level and there no shakes or vibrations. So if it wasn’t for the spring resting on the upper bump stop I may have just let it be.

Front and rear both move...so you need 2 bars.

You might consider cutting your losses and getting a quality lift. These are the things that happen with low end lifts. The JKS parts are tits tho.

I have both front and rear track bars.

Bow started with stock springs also and just teraflex leveling kit so I’m not too quick to call it a parts problem. I’ve read of the same issues with aev and such.

Height wise- do they measure out the same passenger and driver?

I’m curious to see if it goes away once centered.

Did this kit have adjustable control arms???? Not being there, and by no means judging your video. Just playing keyboard lifeguard….

It looks like the axle is pushed too far forward (control arm length is too long.)

Check the pinion angle too- maybe it isn’t the entire axle too far forward- just rotated top forward too much.

Basing this opinion off the bump stop alignment being super wonky.

Can you take a couple measurements for me?

Lower control arm length and upper control arm length on both driver and passenger side.

Measure from bolt to bolt. It doesn’t matter if it’s inside edge of bolt, bolt center, or outside of bolt- NEEDS to be consistent for all 4 measurements.

I’m fairly confident this is the issue…..
There are a ton of shops that can do alignments. There really aren’t very many in comparison that can do alignments on modified vehicles…. And before I get slammed… I understand that making adjustments with things like adjustable control arms make life 100* easier….. not all shops know what they are doing with them, or train their folks to make sound decisions on non factory stuff…

Edit:

Is this the lift that you have??
https://bds-suspension.com/product?kid=1439H

I’m thrown off by the orange control arms.

Let’s revise some questions:

Need to know what lift, height, and control arms adjustable or not.
