Regear after 35” tires - Very Pleased with the results

I have a 2024 Gladiator Sport S, I added new Rims with -25 offset, then 3.5“ lift Barricade bumper and open road winch, I used a Tazer Mini to adjust for tire size. I noticed the pick up was a bit sluggish, was hunting constantly for 7 and 8th gears. Mileage was between 15.5 and 17.5, I finally got my regear to .488 with Yukon gears and I added front and rear lockers. I am through my break-in mileage and already changed out the fluid. I used my Tazer Mini to update the gears. I hope to test out the lockers this evening. My mileage has increased to 18.5 to 20.5 combined highway, city driving. I am very pleased with the results. It has more pep now than when stock. If you are in the Hernando County area of Florida, I had all the work done by Brooksville Off Road. They are awesome due quality work and get things done on time. The staff is super helpful and explain everything thoroughly. I think I am done with upgrades for now

Thanks for the post. I'm on 35's as well, and have been debating a regear. Over a year on 3.73's but have been able to get by in FL.

I think I may do 4.88 too.

I got better mileage with 4.88's and stock 32's lol.

These should come with 4.56 standard and 4.88 optional.

Kayla from accounting would never know the difference in her mall rig anyway, and the rest of us would be happier.

Buddy of mine and myself have spent the last 4 weekends (1 axle every Saturday) regearing our Gladiators. Pain in the butt doing it on the ground. It went well. Results are similar to yours. We are both on 35's so went with 4.56 Spicer gears. Lot of work but well worth it.

I'm also in Florida, before the regear, any little hill on the hiway would cause a downshift much much better now

Here in So Cal. went to 4.88s for my BFG KO 37s and from here to Moab and back got 19-20 MPG.

I’m on 35s Toyo Open County At3 and I’m still on stock 3.73 gears getting 20.5mpg currently driving about 35min to work and back (Wisconsin).

Still see plenty of 7th and 8th gear.

I think a lot of it depends on location, size and weight of rims and tires.
