  1. Texas Ice storm 2026

Ha, I grew up in Mission. Graduated from Mission HS in 82. Used to work at the Skateland on 23rd street back in 1980, I think they turned it into a bingo hall since then.
  2. CD Player install

ChrisNLA: I dont want to hijack this thread but wanted to let you know how to get a cheap garage power supply. I made this and now use it to power a car radio in my garage. OK, back to thread.
  3. Going Postal: Right Hand Drive Conversion Kits

It would be cool to put your dog in the left seat while you drive from the right. Makes for a head-turner.
  4. CD Player install

Check this out. May not be exactly what your looking for but cheap and easy to try. The KLIM model has Bluetooth to connect to your factory radio. Portable Bluetooth CD Players If your car lacks a CD slot, a portable CD player with Bluetooth is a simple alternative: KLIM Nomad Portable CD...
  5. Battery charger, maintainer and propper use

I think your charging idea is fine. But also think 25 miles a day driving (which you seem to do) should be enough to keep your batt charged.
  6. Headache rack lighting, will tapping into trailer light plug cause issues?

Thanks to all of you for your help. I think I'm going to get a T harness and wire it in that way.
  7. Headache rack lighting, will tapping into trailer light plug cause issues?

Great, thank you for yalls knowledge. I think I'll continue planning for putting lights in it. Thanks, Tim
  8. Headache rack lighting, will tapping into trailer light plug cause issues?

Howdy all, I'm welding up a headache rack for my 23 Rubi diesel. I would like to put some aux tail lights in it like the ranch trucks run around here. I've seen 7-pin "T" adapter harnesses that put a 7-pin trailer connector in the bed of the truck, these are for pulling a 5th wheel trailer. If...
  9. Cobra Handheld CB

I wouldn't buy and old radio unless getting a super deal. This is a good one for a fair price but brand new...
  10. Got it on the road with old school wrap, 3.5" lift and 37s. All I lack is finishing

I like how yours came out, I was curious on how my sarge green glad would look so this is what gptchat came up with. I think yours looks better in red.
  11. 2LO - installed

If someone needed 2-lo this seems like a good mod. My old 69 chevy 4x4 (manual trans) had manual hubs and I used 2-lo from time to time.
  12. Why the Ford Jeep is the Greatest Vehicle Ever Made -- Jay Leno's Garage

Back in my 20s, I had an old flat fender jeep with that "bulletproof" 134 ci flathead. As I was climbing up a steep hill, the oil pick up tube in the oil pan sucked air and the rods were knocking by the time we got to the top. I rebuilt that engine in the driveway and drove it (my only wheels...
  13. 3.0 Service DEF fluid- see dealer message

Thanks for posting, I wonder if manufacturers ever thought of incorporating a Def tank and line heater that is powered anytime a block heater is plugged in. Probably just more complications/problems added, but it did cross my mind.
  14. Front row third "jump seat" in a JT?

My dad's big class A RV is designed to carry pax other than in the front two seats, and they have seat belts built into the couch. He won't hear me calling him a bad parent. Heck, like I mentioned before, we used to ride in the back of our parents truck going down the highway all the time...
  15. Front row third "jump seat" in a JT?

Mini trucks in days of yore used to have a bench seat in them. During high school a buddy of ours had a Chevy Love and three of us high school boys would sometimes have to ride three across in that thing. I have no idea what the width of those cabs were VS our modern jeeps. And of course as a...
  16. 3000 watt inverter

I love this setup and think I might just copy it. Great idea.
  17. Anti-theft installed

I'm of the opinion that if you want to stop someone from stealing your jeep you need to customize your theft deterrent. If you use regular off the shelf security measures, it will be easy for a knowledgeable thief to steal your jeep. A wireless relay is fine, but you should NOT put it in the...
  18. Are these CBs worth resurrecting?

They are worth $5-$10 each. They may or may not work. The capacitors in 40 year old electronics often begin to dry out or leak so even if they turn on they may not receive well. You can try them if you like but don't be surprised if they don't work like they used to. If you are sentimental...
  19. How much diesel to fill your truck from empty?

I get it, removing the discriminator is handy, but I have accidently grabbed the gasoline nozzle and tried to insert it into my diesel tank and was happy it didn't fit and immediately realized what I had done. You see, I also drive my wife's gasoline vehicle and often fill it up, so out of...
