I've got a '21 JTR with the M6. As you can see from my profile photo, I also have a 392 Challenger SPWB. THAT car pulls hard. The Charger 3.6 GT in blue next to it with the same 3.6 I would call "gutsy" for a 3.6, but the Charger is a heavy car. Same engine, but very different driving...
That would have been perfect for me. Manual Diesel Rubicon. I opted for the manual because I missed rowing the gears. Compromise on towing though. I don't regret it yet because I am still in the market for a travel trailer and there seems to be pretty good options still available for a...
Depends what version you order. Gladiator version rails bolt into the bulkhead and rear sides. No need for clamps. Install videos show pretty much everything you need.
Looking forward to it. But I am a bit bummed that it took me decades to have the disposable income to enjoy a big NA V8 just before they disappear. But I could learn to love an i6. Maybe my next JT? Or in a RAM.
The cover ships with a seal for the bulkhead top that is for use in that situation, but maybe the adhesive doesn't work to well in the cold. Luckily, in San Diego, I don't have that problem!
Well, if you are considering the pentastar V6, I have had that in a 2012 charger and has surpassed 250k miles with no reliability issues. Only thing needed repairing on the engine was the oil pressure monitor at around 175,000 miles. Just the sensor. Other issues as you might expect in a 10...
Do you have spray on bedliner on the bulkhead? It doesn't look quite like mine and that may be the issue. It seems in your case the foam seal that comes with the cover should be mounted across the bulkhead to make the seal and even the fit.
So glad to see that. I am really interested in the Mesa Verde rack. Does that model have the same mounting setup/geometry as the Moab so that it would work the same way?
I figure if I am going to do any serious wheeling, I will switch them back out. It was an easy swap that took less than an hour. In the mean time the steps make it easier for the folks and Mrs. to hop in.
I went in eyes open getting the JT. It is a brick and there is very little you can do about it. I got it to drive slowly down dirt roads. I am OK with the mileage because I am lucky enough to have a few choices of what I will drive. I own far too many cars. Funny that my 392 SPWB can beat...
I swapped out my rock rails for the tubular side steps. I shed a lot of weight doing that. My rough estimation is that the two steps weight less than a single rail. I swear I am getting better mileage by 1-2 mpg and this thread makes me think that is the reason.
Bought two MOPARS in 21, JTR and Charger GT (funny, same motor in those). Glad to have contributed to the numbers. Add in our 19 Challenger SPWB and they've made their money off me, but I smile every time I drive. I am definitely in that APEAL stat!
Well, I did a long road trip and had all sorts of terrain to go through. Mountain passes, highway driving, Hevy rain, slow driving in 4H through snow on the highway and over the Panamint mountains with a few 4500 ft. peaks. Also a long stretch of stop and go traffic from Baker down through the...
