That is unusual if you haven't adjusted your speedometer after installing bigger tires. Usually when you go bigger tires the speedometer on dashboard will read lower than your actual speed.
That's really odd. I've been researching what tire size you're supposed to enter and from what I read (mostly on JL Wrangler forums) it was clear that it's the weighted tire height and not the theoretical tire size. But I'll increase it and see what happens. Thanks for your advice
I received my Tazer Lite and downloaded the update before I installed it in my truck. After the install I changed the tire settings according to the actual weighted height (33.5) of my 35 inch tires. After I changed the settings I did a full reboot. Went for a test drive but my speedometer was...
Do you have a Tazer? Maybe that could be different. My shop used a computer to update my settings. I probably should have went with a Tazer in the first place. I think I'll ask the shop to install a Tazer and have them credit my money that I paid for adjusting the speedometer and TPMS
I had my speedometer and TPMS adjusted by a local shop when I upgraded to 35s, before I went in for the TSB fix. After I picked up my JT looks like my settings went back to factory :(
This just proves that some people are just less sensitive to these things and reason why some people thought it was a Jeep thing (not you ShadowsPapa). This forum represents a small percentage of JT owners, and the same goes with the JL forums. Imagine the rest of the people who are unaware of...
I just came back from Palmer in Roswell with the new steering box. Definitely noticeable difference in a very positive way. Like others have mentioned, you can definitely feel the steering being more responsive and it's much tighter. Can't say nothing but good about the dealership. I called told...
If you don't plan on adding a lift kit with adjustable control arms anytime soon, a budget friendly option is to install Mopar LCAs. One possibility for the driving difference between your JTR and son's Sport is the fact that they both use the same LCAs even though your JTR has more lift than...
Just contacted a local dealer that I recently heard was pretty lenient on working on modified jeeps. Honestly the best guy I've ever spoken to in the service department. He was actually up to date on this new TSB. The best part, I asked if my Fox steering stabilizer and 35 inch tires will be a...
Looks like this forum doesn't accept the video format from my phone. Well I don't think it'll help anyways because it's really difficult to tell that my truck is actually responding when I'm turning my wheel left or right even though it looks like its got steering play. But honestly thought I...
Yeah yours track straight as an arrow. My tracking significantly improved after I did an alignment and Mopar LCAs. Your video doesn't show steering play if any. How does yours compare with OPs?
Really appreciate it. Hmm now I'm conflicted again. Looks like mine behaves similar to yours but I'll have to drive it on the highway to be sure. Right before you return the steering wheel back to the center looks your truck was starting to veer to the left, or maybe not? I feel like when I turn...
You think you can attach the same video that you provided to the dealers? I think that would really help alot of people decide if they have a problem or not. I still have yet to see a video of someone moving the steering wheel left or right and holding it without any response. The videos I saw...
