So I’ve been in my new Gladiator for almost 1000 miles now. I’m loving my new truck and all of a sudden I have a lot of people waving at me. Haha. I don’t mind the camaraderie but wow the dirty looks ya get when you don’t notice the wave or are too late. Lol. I have lots on my mind people!!

I've actually gotten a few waves here lately, and given out way more than gotten. Sometimes I don't think that the Cherokee and Renegade crowd got the memo, because they sure don't do much waving, most returned waves are from Wrangler folks. And, women always seem to be pre-occupied with other things or think that you're creeping on them, I have gotten to where I don't even bother unless I see a wave first.

Not sure how you'd note a dirty look if you were too late if you were watching traffic and not looking over a lane or behind you, but whatever LOL
It's very hit and miss here. The ones that wave are generally Wrangler people (any type) - one guy had his window down and extended his arm clear out in a very obvious "wave", others raise the two fingers. And some just drive and look ahead.
Iowa is just weird that way. Clubs don't generally survive long, shows are hard to get put together.

I had a woman turn the wave into the bird as I noticed her hand up last second as she was oncoming at me and about side by side with me as I was trying to wave back ??

I think you missed the memo. You wave to none wrangler/gladiators?

I think you're right, I missed that memo. Enlighten me please. Am I to understand there are classes of Jeeps and that some classes don't bother waving to others? If that's the case, then quite frankly that sucks ass and makes me not like the entire thing very much.

Is it a thing for Jeep owners to wave at motorcyclists? I was on a trip in Texas a couple of months ago and got several waves.

Do we wave at motorcyclists?

Seems like no one waves around here. Then, just last Friday, I come out of a doctors appointment, and see that my JT parked in the parking lot has been Ducked! The little rubber duckie was stuck inside my driver's side door handle. I read the tag on the duck that says "nice Jeep", and to pass it on. Then on the way home I had the drivers of three other built Jeeps wave at me. Wow, nothing for months and months, then four people in half an hour.

I think it's just that non-Wrangler/Gladiator owners are more likely to have purchased their Jeeps because of the look, not the lifestyle, and are therefore less likely to even know what a Jeep wave is. Because of this, I think a lot of us just don't bother.

I'll wave to XJ Cherokees, but try to limit it more to Wrangler/Gladiators.

As-is I probably get a 20% return on waves, so no need to drag that average any lower
