I put 35s on my new JT and it drove tight as a drum like stock. After adding a 1.5 level kit and an alignment, it drifts and wanders more than I’d like. How can I address this?

Why did you have it aligned after the level kit? Only toe can be adjusted on a stock Jeep.. Camber can't be changed and Caster can't be changed without adjustable control arms.
I would check into the alignment, maybe they messed it up. The level kit will take some Caster out, so you could get the mopar LCA from the lift kit, that will add some caster back in. They are relatively inexpensive.

There are several companies that make these at different prices….. they are worth the few bucks to just check yourself. I shoot for a 1/16 inboard.

good practice to check this at each tire rotation, or after a trip out wheeling….

Just get the Mopar LCA's, install and do nothing else. Get alignment numbers from the shop that says they aligned it...

It could be as easy as the tire pressure also. Did you chalk the tires?

Bigger tires need more caster. That is more dangerous difficult in JT. Did you install geometry correction brackets? Caster matters. I will assume the alignment shop did it correctly but many shops just use factory settings and that is not sufficient when installing bigger tires and a lift. I would go to a shop that specializes in off road vehicles and get it aligned again. Good luck to you.

I had the same experience with the 1.5” kit. I added the longer Mopar control arms and the issue was corrected. Cheap & easy.

He put a lift kit under the front - basically what a leveling kit is - it lifts the front.
I put longer lower control arms on both of my JTs - to compensate for height changes when swapping springs and other fun stuff.

Exactly - heck, the MOPAR 2" lift kit comes with longer lower control arms. A 1.5" level isn't thaat much different - it's a lift for the front end.

At the least, I'd put on the mopar lift kit lower control arms.
I plan on that for my wife's JLU Rubicon to help make it walk a straighter line.
