I have a set of 1in wheel spacers ive been thinking about installing.

Before i do im hoping someone can answer a question...easier to find out before i spend the time taking a wheel off.

will 1in wheel spacers require me to trim the stock wheel studs?

if so I won’t be using them.
Also, before the questions come, i dont care for the bull dog stance of wheels sticking way out of the wells. Just a little tire is all im looking for.

Try one and see, if the stud extends beyond the spacer flange you would need to trim them or use a thicker spacer.

Are they slide on spacers or hub centric spacers? I would never do slide on spacers on anything after I had one crack on my XJ.

A few days ago someone on here was having that problem with a set of wheel spacers I think. It will be close, but you could just pull one lugnut and measure how much thread is sticking though the rim. That would give you a idea if it will be a problem.... If 3/4 in that would be close.

You should be fine, I ran them on my JKU for 6 yrs no issues. As far as trimming, it will definitely be close

I'd only use the non hub centric to mount a spare tire. :like: otherwise I would just use different rims with correct back space to do what you want. Both will be detrimental to the hubs life.

Got any spare $$ laying around you'd donate for the cause? Haha

The oem rims have pockets in them that the studs will go into even if they poke through the spacer. With that said, I think the minimum without trimmining the studs is 1.25” spacers. I’ve been researching this a bit and have no actual experience with it, but from what I’ve read on this forum 1” spacers won’t work without trimming. good luck and let us know if it works without trimming.

I think I recall reading that 1-5/8” is the minimum on a JL, so that should be the same with our JTs.
