What’s everybody’s choice in replacing headlights. I’m looking at LED and my top three picks are OEM, J.W. Speaker and DV8. I had ProComp in my last Jeep but they do not offer one for the Gladiator.
OEM is the cleanest but assumes you have the correct wiring (you may not have the wires for the DRL) but you do need to reprogram the Jeep to know it has LEDs.
Aftermarket has lots of options of course. Just make note of 9" (JL) lights vs 7" (JK) lights with adapter rings.
The newer multi-function J3s are pretty cool and the price has dropped a bit since they were initially released. But they've never made an adaptor harness to get the turn signal function working like they have for the JK. And like the J2s, you need to get the JL/JT headlight adaptor buckets.
I have been running the Oracle Oculus for over a year now. Very happy with the light and precision of the beams in the Oculus head lights. Very simple plug and play with no need to reprogram for these lights. There is a fuse tape and instructions for wiring of the Halo's.
Morimoto Super 7's. Nothing else comes close. Follow up choices, KC Gravity/Reflector (2 different housings), and JW Speaker's of any kind, all quality lights with great output and amazing cutoffs.
I love my Oracle Oculus Bi-LED switchbacks. I’d look at Rugged Ridge, especially if you can get the scratch and dent on eBay approx for 60% oRF llist price.
