Seems to me that you have a good plan and a good sense of what it takes to be successful. Success is not “the guy who dies with the mists toys wins.” It is “the guy who dies with no debt and the most toys wins.” Stay patient and stay smart and in the end you will be better off in the long run.I've been on the forums for a long time now it seems and most people know of my money situation. As much as the kid in me wants to run up to the nearest dealership and order one of my very own the adult in me knows I'll financially crash and burn if I do so it's just a simple waiting game until I can get my ducks in a row. My question is when will we start seeing any info for what they plan with the 2021 gladiator and when exactly is the cutoff for when the last 2020 gladiator will be rolling off the line and be no more? I'm estimating I might can order one around February at the earliest but interested to see what 2021 holds. It might be just worth it to wait and see what's in store for the next generation but I also want to know when the cutoff date will be in case they change something that makes it look like crap (don't think that's gonna happen) or colors I like are gone, loss of a feature i like ect. I've played on the build tool so many times that I've memorized probably everything on it every trim and every detail and I've made up my mind that I'm getting what I want and not settling for anything less because I know I'll go crazy getting something that I don't want. If I'm paying this much for a truck I'd rather wait and get what I want instead of getting some things or a low trim level and wind up trading it in for something else.
I’d venture to say that VERY little of the legacy we leave behind will have anything to do with the number of toys we die with...at least, heaven knows, I sure hope that’s not the type of thing I’m known for.Seems to me that you have a good plan and a good sense of what it takes to be successful. not anymore they arent. when i ordered for memorial day they were doing 3500 down 143 a month for a 10k lease. now its 4300 down and 279 a month for a 10k lease. after they admitted they never ordered my truck on memorial day and still hadnt ordered it by last friday i asked if i would be getting the same deal and they said no. so im not buying one after all. hell with em. ill try again next year.Right now JTs are projected to have a high residual value and leases are are cheaper than other vehicles. That's an option, but I think you've got a good plan.
80th anniversary, that's an interesting thought. Did Jeep do anything with the Wrangler to celebrate any milestone years? An 80th anniversary and something else. I like the Honcho idea.
Last one was 75th and the previous one was 70th. Usually Sport S-based and mostly cosmetic but cool nonetheless.80th anniversary, that's an interesting thought. Did Jeep do anything with the Wrangler to celebrate any milestone years?
Um, people are regularly getting $4k+ off sticker. Nobody's getting gouged unless they're not doing their homework.too new + popular IMO + jeep buyers will get price gouged for a while like all jeeps!!
I think there'll probably be a couple of special editions for 2021. An 80th anniversary and something else. I like the Honcho idea.
Do tell...There is more...
I know that you know I was just joking. I am not defined by my toys, no matter how much I love them, but by my reputation with my friends, family and patients. I do have a lot of very nice toys though...just sayinI’d venture to say that VERY little of the legacy we leave behind will have anything to do with the number of toys we die with...at least, heaven knows, I sure hope that’s not the type of thing I’m known for.
Regarding 2021’s: Jeep used to follow a very predictable calendar, with special edition info and new colors leaking around February-April and production beginning around May-July. I don’t know how things went for the 19 JL’s, but consider that the 20 JL’s aren’t even on Jeep.com yet for configurations. Jeep may try to stagger releases of the Wrangler and Gladiator by a few months going forward, allowing the factories to troubleshoot one at a time, instead of having to deal with potential hiccups simultaneously.
What can we expect? I think Jeep will start running heritage themed Special Editions with the 2021 model year...maybe a Honcho or something. There will likely be a few color changes as well...usually the bright or trend colors are the ones that get swapped after a 6-18 month run. I don’t expect the diesel until 2021.
Oh, and Jeep will make my dreams come true if we see HALF DOORS!!!
