Hey everyone… I’ve got a 23 Gladiator (Freedom trim). It’s had some mods (DV8 fender well guards, Fox shocks, Barricade tube-style fender flares), but no lift.

I want to put 33/12.50r17s on it, but I’m concerned that without a lift, I might have problems. I don’t think tire diameter will be an issue, but I’m worried about the width.

Has anyone run 33/12.50r17s on the gladiator (Freedom/Sport) without a lift? Good idea, bad idea?

couple photos attached. Current tire size is 245/75r17.

Don't have links to post but based on my reading on here something will rub with the 12.50s. You can run 11.50s all day and be fine though.

I believe the 12.5" will rub the front bumper on full lock. I went with 285/70-17 and have no issues

Looks sharp. Seems like you’ve got some offset on your rims… think the 11.5 width would be a problem on mine (I think mine are zero offset)

They do have an offset but ran the same tires on the factory wheels before the Fuel wheels came in...no issues

I believe you could run 35s on your non-lifted JT, but would have to add wheel spacers if you plan on keeping the same wheels. I was lifted and on 35s OEM wheels before swapping to another set of wheels with the offset to forgo the spacers.
I actually added 1.75" wheel spacers to give me the more aggressive stance I was looking for but didn't need it, mostly due to the lift

Yours look like OEM non-mojave wheels, which would make them +45.45 offset.

If you got 0 offset wheels, you'd clear 12.5s easily

Thanks for the info. I still don’t have good grasp on the offset situation. 😂

Once you get those 33's you're going to want something bigger I ran 285/75r17's ( 34x11.5 ) on stock sport wheels, no rubbing anywhere including when disconnected. You could get away with 35x11.5's with those fenders.

Bjeepz is right. To be honest, I would really wait and get 35s. I had them on mine when I bought it, but knew I'd put 37s on soon. Less than 3 months later I ended up finding a nearly new set of 37s for a great price and went for it.

If you want to keep the wheels you have, adding a quality 1.75" hubcentric spacer would put you at a 0 offset. 1.75" in mm is: 45.45mm. Subtract the spacers width from your OEM offset (+45.45) and you end up at 0 offset

Think I could run 35/12.50 with the spacer?

Or just keep it simple and go with 11.5's!

I have a completely stock 2023 Freedom and just put 315/70R17 BFGs on. The tires don’t rub at all except when turning fully against the stops.
