Look at the bright side, 5 years ago you couldn't even get a Jeep truck.
And the even brighter side is, you still get it.

Here in Europe we are f*cked, with the discontinuation of the Diesel, sales of the Gladiator has completely stopped.

For now. With these packages and pricing I suspect the Gladiator's fate is sealed here in the states too. It's only a matter of time.

Funny, I was a proponent of Jeep bundling options instead of a la carte like they had been doing. I didn't suspect they'd screw it up as bad as they have though. Ugh.

Why do folks not buy the petrol version in the EU? Is it a tax thing?

Petrol was not available officially in the EU. Assume that this was due to a higher sensivity on MPG, cost for one gallon of petrol is arround 8 $ here.

You could get them (and still can) imported from the US but without official warranty.

Huh, well that's unfortunate. I assume importing is also expensive.
Relatively. My Overland, more or less with all available options, had an MSRP of 80K€, paid 65 after the car was sitting nearly one year in the dealers showroom.
For a Rubicon gasser with little less options I would have paid approx the same. maybe 5 more.

But I think the Galdiator didn't sell here as expected because it was way to expensive.
@TheDerb explained the reason very well in post #71.

Anyhow, I don't care and I am still very happy to be one of the few proud Gladiator owners in Germany.

The only Wranglers sold in a lot of places, perhaps EU, are the 4xe.

Just got off the phone with my sales guy - he was looking at the dealer order screens as we talked.
The Sport and Sport S stuff is really screwed up online and in the docs - Sport and Sport S can both still get max tow and the specs are the same as they always were for those two.
He said the only way to get SelecTrac is the X package, you can actually still order the soft roll-up tonneau cover and put it on later and he was even baffled by some of the prices showing up on things.
He said don't put too much stock in the build and price numbers as the final real MSRP is quite often actually lower than those screens show. I agreed- when I did the build and price for my 22, the dealer's MSRP was over 1K lower than the internet pricing.
He believes there's going to be some shaking out of things adjusting prices.
(Based on past experiences - he's been a Jeep sales guy for over 20 years)

The Grand Cherokee and one or two others he mentioned have price changes - he expects more. He said it's only for the customer, the dealer makes less per vehicle on them so they are having to eat the MSRP cuts from the factory (so look for dealers getting more creative on add-ons and financing and so on)

He agreed - the Rubicon X and Mojave X are aimed at status buyers who have the money and want the high-end stuff (where Mojave was the top status JT before) but he is thinking Jeep may be hurting others because all that's left is the sport - Sport, Sport S and Willys are all the Sport platform. So they've cut things down to just 3 basic models. The Wrangler still has middle-class models so middle-of-the-road buyers may instead go that direction.

He's expecting some shaking up of the lineup and prices eventually.
We talked about past prices and the changes made to the whole line-up and agreed - some of the changes that are now "standard" cost some fair money - antenna in glass, larger display with more features, power seats, so if you took a 2022 Overland and added the larger display, in-glass antenna, power seats and some of the other changes, you'd be mid-60s on that Overland. Then add the inflationary price changes, you pretty much hit the price of a loaded Mojave X or Rubicon X
MSRP if 2022 Overland when I bought - loaded - was 61,000
Add to that the larger display, power seats, antenna in glass, larger tires, and a few other things and you hit 65,000 pretty fast. Add for inflation and you get to the 70K price I was looking at.

The sad part is, and he agreed - I have an ideal snow plow truck - LSD, SelecTrac and so on - and I can't replace that now at any price. I'm out of luck for a nice comfort daily driver with the options I have, and the ability to use my plow in the places I need it.
The only option I'd have would be Mojave X to get SelecTrac and the CV front axles, and swap out the locker for a limited slip rear end. (the guts from a Sport S max tow differential?)
But the Mojave sits too high for my plow. It's not listed as one of the Gladiators that can use these plows on the Western Plow site. Too tall.

Yup - better take good care of what I have!

The diesel tach only goes up to 6K, right? Probably a typo on the SIXT franchise in Greece claiming they have the gas engine...

Hello, new here but not new to Jeeps. Before Jeep launched the current Gladiator I was ready to buy an extended cab with a 6' bed, but we all know that didn't happen. After holding out for something a little different I've decided to go ahead and get the current offering. I've owned 5 Jeeps so far but I'm currently without.

The 23s are coming down closer to where I think they should be, and I may go that direction just so I can get Selec-Trac and a 4.10 at a somewhat reasonable price. Granted, it would have to be a Mojave which is not my first choice, but I can't see any other way to get them together. For me a Mojave has one locker too many, so a Rubi with Rock-Trac is out of the question. For what I'm going to do with this truck an LSD is just fine. I suppose I could get a Willys with Selec-Trac and an LSD and then regear.

Looking at 24s I built a Max Tow on the build and price last night and was surprised to see I couldn't get the Cold Weather Group with it. Does that make any sense? I may have not looked close enough, but it was either a Sport with no Cold Weather or a Sport S with no Max Tow. I understand I would give up Select-Trac with a max tow, but at least I could get the 4.10 and a decent payload. I also thought this would be the year of the I-6 intro but I guess not.

As some others have noted, a 24 Rubicon, in the exact same configuration as what I ordered a 23 for, was $705 less than the 23 JTR (both prices including destination). The 24 price also includes the Enhanced Adaptive Cruise Control and Full-Speed Collision Warning Plus as standard. I do not have these two safety features in my 23 and I'm not sure I really want them. Others here have raved about the Adaptive Cruise Control so I guess there is something to it.

The middle ground now appears to be a modest Rubicon or Mojave with fewer options.

but it was either a Sport with no Cold Weather or a Sport S with no Max Tow.
My sales guy said he can order 2024 Sport S with max tow.
So, something is rotten in Ohio.

2024 Order Guide shows it as possible to order a Sport S with Max Tow also.

It may be in the order guide, but it's not on the build and price.

You still can't build a Sport S with max tow on the build and price site - it's not ready for prime-time yet.

Leather seats used to be up top - where they show the cloth as standard, now leather is under other interior options - between two types of sill protectors.
Weird place to put leather seat options, between the two styles of sill protectors. Someone appears to just have slipped it into a spot just to get it there.

It's missing a lot of stuff and the combo of options isn't totally accurate.
Dealer was also concerned that you had to pick the tow package with the aux switches to get the max tow - and he said that's new - carried over from the Wrangler stuff. For Wrangler, if you want the tow package you have to get aux switches, too. He said his customers who tow don't care much about the switches, those who want the switches want them for lights in most cases. Another weird combo of "accessories".

The leather is there because it’s the Katskin. The Katskin option was always underneath like that. These pics are from a 2023 Sport S B&P.
