Where are you getting 74K?? I just built a duplicate from my 2022 model and it's only $1,015 more, for the exact same options - well except for the upgraded radio which I have zero interest in.
Hmm i built the rubicon and the total price was 74,000.00

I've been tracking the MSRP pricing of my specific Sport S Max tow over the years based on the Jeep Build Sheets and the exact same configuration has gone up from $46k to $58k in 3 years.

Jeep Gladiator 2024 Gladiator Build & Price Configurator is Finally Live! JT-pricing

My Sport S came loaded with all packages except LED lighting. Including 8.4 Audio, Cold Weather, Convenience, Max Tow, Popular Equipment, Tech.

2024 is the first year where I cannot get same setup anymore. As others stated, Jeep seems to push people toward the either bare bones or a fully loaded setup. Multiple packages were combined into one, removing the ability to pick and chose.

For my Sport, changes include:

- Max Tow is only available on Sport, not on Sport S anymore
- Popular Equipment and Convenience groups are now combined
- Must get the Cargo Group to get the Tech package
- Cold Weather is not available as a standalone

Without it, there's really no equivalent to the Sahara trim in the Wrangler which seems like a glaring omission.
Sahara is a top selling level in our area - big sellers. So much so that the jeep site shows it as the "featured offer" if zip codes in the midwest are used on the site.
There's no need for Rubicon here - snow is our challenge. Sahara is a big seller.

In 2020, max tow was only a Sport S thing.
I wonder if they had to strip the Gladiator even further to maintain the towing and payload abilities and found the Sport S just too heavy or the wrong combination to meet the SAE challenges for towing and payload??? Could be they were barely making it and had to strip things down farther, maybe due to the added weight of other safety features??

All Jeeps my wife and I bought - we went straight for the "cold weather package" - be it Grand Cherokee, Wrangler or Gladiator - CWP was one of the first things we made sure was there. For my wife (and later, me) we also made sure passive entry was there. She's not a key-carrying person, hates having keys to fumble with.
I never looked at the Sport, as I assumed that the Sport S was still the max tow level like it was in 2020 and I think 2021 (maybe they added it to Sport then as well?) but I've looked at all other levels, and see nothing mentioned of some of the options like SelecTrac, for example - not even discussed at all. So - is it there or not? Is it now standard? Or is it no longer an option at all? If it's no longer an option then this is truly my last Gladiator.

So when you select MAX toe (at $1995) for the sport you automatically also must select the auxiliary switch and tow group at $1295. You have to buy both tow groups to get MAX toe?

Too bad the a la carte' option choices are gone. You have to order the "X" to get leather and aux switch panel. No choices at any level for seating color options, lame grill reminds me of a Jeep Compass grill. No diesel, no V8, but you do get a 12" screen which you will hardly ever look at.

You must be looking at the rubicon x maxed out then.

Here is basically my 2022 with the new radio and a 'refresh' in the 2024 MY at 3,515 more than my cost in 2022 - I forgot to add the auto transmission in my previous comment. $67,415

Still though.... Not even 70K for pretty much a maxed out Rubicon.

having more fun ripping this thing apart -
Go pick out a sport to build.
Add A/T tires and you are forced into max tow and automatic transmission and the aux switches. So what do A/T tires on a basic Jeep Gladiator, a Sport, have to do with automatic transmission, aux switches and tow package? Maybe someone wants to buy a stripped down Sport with manual transmission but get A/T tires on it? Can you?

Can't get the factory tonneau cover on a sport unless you get the dual door group or sunrider?
What does a tonneau cover have to do with dual doors???????
It's more of a cargo thing, isn't it? Or, for me - the ability to hide things away out of the weather, lock the cargo area and have a tad bit more mpg with a pickup.

Not even really maxed out, I'm at 69K for a Rubicon. That's with tonneau cover which requires at least the sunrider, and some other stuff, but it's as close as I could get to my Overland - and it wouldn't have painted roof or fenders .
Standard grill, standard wheels and tires, no graphics, no trail rated kit, no cargo group, no steel bumpers.

Just grasping at straws here, but something tells me there is likely an overstock of certain items. Given the gladiator decline in sales, they are likely grouping these together to get rid of stock.

Just an idea

They no longer talk of ACC, FCW and other stuff. The advance safety group is gone - does that mean that FCW is now standard like the automakers promised would happen 2 years ago?
There's a lot not said in the lists, packages, etc. - a lot left out.
Time to call my sales guy to get some real info as that site could simply be full of errors and omissions.

Jeep like all the other corporations out there doesn't seem to understand that their magic "inflation" word to wring out more money from people doesn't work when everyone's salary isn't also inflating.

No SelecTrac and can't get LSD except in a Sport or lower level, where you can't get the other stuff.
Pretty much supports my fears - I can't buy a nicely equipped JT with body color roof and fender flares, ACC, FCW, LSD and SelecTrac any more.
The more I look, the worse it looks from here.
You pretty much confirmed my option combination is impossible.
I don't want and would never use a locking rear, and SelecTrac is gone. The Mojave would be pretty worthless for my snow plowing needs. I'd better take really good care of what I have!
