Bounce the others on dirt roads and through streams and let's see how many problems they have.

My wife and I own 2022 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon (purchased new) and 2019 200 series v8 Landcruiser VX (purchased at 42,000km).

Our stat's are as follows...

Lamdcruiser (106,000km) -only issue is maps update has bricked the infotainment system and its getting replaced (a cock-ups by mechanics caused this as they inadvertently tried to install a 300 series map update)

Jeep (55,000km)...
Engine predetonation after first service, eventually required heads removal at 35,000km and new pcv.

Water pump replaced at 35,000km

New transmission at 35,000km

Another new transmission at 50,000km

2 new oil coolers in the last 2 months, both cracked and started leaking oil onto the engine V and down over bell housing onto exhaust.

It's booked in this Friday for a brand new engine (55,000km)

All the above under warranty.

The stat's in the O.P are actually better than our experience with Jeep. Mechanically, it's a piece of shit by comparison to the 200 series landcruiser.

If the US had to fight a war with Jeeps for transport, they be left riding fucking horses! The smart ones would steal the Toyota's the terrorists use and drive those instead)

JD Powers is a marketing company and charges fees to the companys that use the awards for advertising.
So how honest are they really.
Family member used to be a member of the Board at Gallup. When they got bought out decades ago he got a nice little golden parachute and used it to start his own boutique market research firm. Not saying he's not biased, i'm sure he is... but whether he's biased or not, he's clearly more knowledgeable about the industry than probably 99.999% of the population. His opinions of JD Power are not great, and he definitely agrees their results are for sale to the highest bidder.

100k+ engine replacement recall in my opinion puts Toyota much lower than Jeep, at least in the truck and off-road segment.

in my opinion it’s not accurate at all. Better or worse ? I have had my Jeep 2 years 16,000 miles and haven’t had any warranty s , praise God !! others have real lemons and problems too many to count ?? Forums are where people complain also ? Scares the hell out of you to read some of the problems People have with these. This also isn’t apples to apples. Sun visor replacement vs engine replace ? I guess minor to major all repairs would count on this list ?

Lexus has 135 problems per 100 vehicles and Jeep has 190 per 100. So we are talking 1.35 problems vs 1.90 problems per vehicle? That doesn't seem like a big difference and it doesn't really say all that much. The real thing to know would be how many MAJOR problems one has vs another. It could be 135 engine rebuilds vs 190 complaints about the infotainment system. Severity of the problems is what is important.
Definitely, I'd need to know their study methodology to put any trust in the results. A weighting of problems based on seriousness of failure (broken cup holder vs power cutout while driving), cost to fix, average time to fix from reported, etc.

Unfortunately there's just no reliable way to empirically evaluate car model reliability. Unless some non-US country out there forces public failure rate reporting (failure/operating in spec). Self-reporting by consumers isn't super useful without putting against the number of in spec, bu there's the NHTSA Safety Search (2022 Complaints). Voluntary recalls vs forced recalls might be valuable to gauge a company's trustworthiness and approach to failure resolution.

Actually there is...

Stellantis have recalled over 250,000 cars this year, replaced their COO AND CFO, and the CE is leaving early in 2026.

The business is in big trouble and it's clearly because of very stupid decision making at the top down.

The issues individuals are having with Jeeps is largely because of bad design choices that simply aren't in touch with the needs of the market.
Toyota's are bullet proof by comparison as is the Toyota business currently.

You cannot blindly ignore the market like Jeep has clearly done and not suffer huge losses.

For example, Jeep Australis as a brand im not sure will even survive...they've gone from selling 39,000 vehicles here 2 years ago to 4,000 vehicles last year. Thats a massive loss in sales and the reasons for it are bluntly obvious...although not to Stellantis/Jeep Australia it seems.

I have heard one of the main victorian dealerships, Melbourne city Jeep, has gone broke and is closing down next month.

there are problems inherent with surveys like this -
Toyota and Lexus, Toyota's luxury brand, help themselves dodge bullets by staying back about one year on bleeding edge stuff. They may have the technology, but they let others introduce it in many cases and wait it out, saving it for next model year.
Why?
The biggest complaint about modern vehicles is almost always infotainment-related. So Toyota tends to not have the very latest 'just came up with it this morning' stuff in their vehicles.
and
Because people tend to link things like radio knob placement, steering wheel shape and size, number of cub holders and infotainment issues as "reliability" things.
J.D. Powers has taken steps to try to force people to not include gripes about cup holders in reliability, but people who have gripes about how the seat feels will often also rate other things down - they aren't happy with the seats, how can they rate the thing highly otherwise? Outfits like J.D.Powers have struggled with this for years.

Reliability? We've owned many Jeeps over the decades, and I've owned trucks from other companies, and frankly, our Jeeps have been just as good, at least as good, as anything else we've had.
I figure "reliability" to mean - can I get in it, start it and go from A to B and back?
Do I feel ok driving it from central Iowa to Sarasota and back and not have problems?
Yeah, no problems.

Severity of the problems is what is important.
Bingo - you helped make some of my points above. Humans just can't put things into buckets when it comes to their car or truck. A gripe about how the radio does something or maybe a USB issue will often cause a person to rate their vehicle as unreliable, when in fact, it's more of a self-inflicted thing, or a gripe about something, not that it truly broke and left them stranded.

Stellantis have recalled over 250,000 cars this year
Have you looked up the stats for Honda and Kia and others? In the millions for some of them.
I have kept my eyes on reports of recalls for pretty much all brands, and Stellantis certainly isn't anywhere near the top.
a quarter million vehicles is nothing compared to some.
I go back to the Mercedes recall of OVER 1 million cars because the sun roof flew off while driving down the highway - imagine being behind one of those and have a sunroof smack your windshield - potentially deadly for other drivers.
Honda has just recalled almost 3 times 250,000 vehicles (720,000) Why? Fire risk.
That's not counting prior 2024 recalls.
GM recently recalled 450,000 vehicles.

I get it you are pissed about your own Jeep situation, but some perspective here, perhaps?

I nearly forgot - Stellantis brand dealers are now saying they are hopeful about the future with the announcement of the changes taking place now and in the very near future. When dealers say they are not feeling positive, well, they are the first line people when things go bad or good.
