Do yall think we will still see leaking back glass area on the 2025 hard tops? Is there something we can do to be proactive and stop it before it starts?

They haven't changed the design so it probably will continue. Read up on the 7mm vacuum air hose trick people have posted on here (or YouTube). A little bit of a pain in the ass but once I got it in the there it's bone dry, no more leak, and it looks stock.

Caulk, or run a soft top instead.

That was my plan but didn’t want to fool with it if something changed.
The problem with my old one is the plastic inside around the window had developed small cracks over time. Not sure why or how. I was wondering if I maybe do something early that won’t happen again. 🤷‍♂️

Well there's no harm in trying the 7mm hose because you're just pressing it in. So if it doesn't work you can just remove it with no harm done

On my 2nd. 1st on replaced under warranty. 2 years later started leaking again above the slider. Took it to an auto glass place, had it caulked, stopped leaking.

That looks like a really clean job.

My 2020 and 2022 didn't leak. I even pressure washed the area many times, no leaks.

We'll see about my 25.........

Rear window leak?

I've never had any window leak or otherwise on my 2021 Gladiator Mojave. 66K miles on it and no leaks. Anywhere. It has been through snow, ice, negative 16 degrees F in Wisconsin. 110 degrees F in Baker, CA. No leaks.

But, I have NEVER TOOK THE TOP OFF. Maybe that's the issue? IDK. Maybe the slight twisting of the top removal or replacement. ? IDK. Just sayin.

If the convertable part of the Gladiator mattered to me I would get a soft top. It doesn't.

I own a Gladiator because of the solid front axle and because it is a Jeep truck. Not because it is a convertable.

But this should NOT be an issue. Jeep; Don't make a convertable that leaks.

Look at the Ford Bronco - wanna be Wrangler... there are top issues all day long. Lawsuits, in fact.

My suggestion is soft top in the summer and hard top in the winter. Keep the hardtop flex to a minimal when removing and replacing.

Good luck OP.

Be well. Jeep on.

Eric

Hasn't seemed to matter. Many with the leaks have never had the top off, and some without leaks have had the top off.
If a window is installed using urethane - there's no way it can flex..
Have you seen what it takes to break that bond?
I've installed sunroofs, windshields, and put side glass back into the holder on classics with urethane. You must cut it. You'll destroy whatever surface it's on before it will just come loose - IF the surfaces are properly prepared.. It's nasty stuff to get loose.

Yeah my 2020 leaked and I had never taken the top off. They create little cracks inside the cabin around the window surround.

Best 50 bucks I spent on the truck. Beats the grand they wanted to break it out again and replace. Good luck with your new truck.
