So I'm trying to figure out the deal with ordering a Gladiator with some extras that seem redundant but are each adding the full package price. I know I want aux switches and trailer tow packages, and am considering a cargo management group. That would be 3 package upgrades, all of which are priced with the upgraded alternator. Apologies if this has been asked before, didn't find an answer using the search function (albeit briefly). Thanks in advance!

Sadly they just charge you over and over for that same damn alternator.... I wish they would have given me the option to keep the extra ones I paid for!

Hi - i agree it seems stupid but the aux switches and trailer tow are nice to have built in. If you don't care about the 3 prong plug (it is only 400W - not very much IMHO) in the bed then skip the cargo mgmt group. You can run your own inverter easily enough if you need it, as well as lights depending on what you use to cover the bed, if anything. And the trail rails are easy to buy second hand through this forum or other places - including non-mopar universal systems.

Hope this helps but I agree with the others here - was pretty disappointed not to have received a 720A alternator. They could have a least given me 2 more 240A alternators as backups!

I'm with Blue Ridge; it totally sucks that there is no discount in a "package" that is the second or third option that includes the upgraded alternator. It's just like my damn cable TV----to get NFL Red Zone you have to upgrade two levels from basic....

Can I get the other two for spares when they need rebuilt?
