For a motor that has been around since 2014 there are apparently now 1289 injectors on back order and 0 in production.

They were quoting mid March and April as etas but now even that has changed.

Are you guys using anything like Hot Shot' LX4 to increase diesel lubricity? So much variation and bad fuel across the country I wonder if this would help?

I started using Hotshot's EDT at 1800 miles or so

Add power steering fluid to your fuel, it’s a lubricant.

Two-Stroke TCW3 outboard oil works better, and it's designed to be burned. I used it for years to lubricate the fuel system in my Duramax after the dramatic reduction of sulphur in diesel fuel.

Trying to be a responsible ecodiesel owner but also don't want to pay unnecessary costs and add complexity to the fueling routine if everything is operating as it should. 99% of searchable information on the net about USLD lubricity is from someone trying to sell a product. I did find this impartial gem of a technical news article though, please give it a read and share your thoughts.

I am of the same opinion. However, it seems this researched minimum lubricity value isn't sufficient and some failures still occur. The failure requires replacement of the entire fuel system due to metallic residue. The Hotshot's EDT additive is proven to increase lubricity. It's really no big deal to shoot an OZ of it when refueling. It adds 15sec to the process of refueling.
