I’ll summarize the thread for you:

MS-12991 is the spec any oil Mopar says it needs to meet.

Penzoil 5W-40 Euro car is the official Mopar recommendation… oil analysis says change it before 7,000 miles if you’re using this one.

Oil analysis seems to confirm that Amsoil 5W40 Euro seems to be the best oil for longevity and longer intervals. It doesn’t officially meet MS-12991, but it’s actually exceeding anything the ecodiesel really needs.

Technically you can run it and not void warranty.

My research says needs to meet API SN, and Euro A3/B4 specifications;
Also must be 5W-40;
MS-12991 is also specified but I think if SN and A3/B4 are met would also meet MS-12991;
Reason is not Engine per se, but Emissions - EGR, DPF, SCR, DOC, Turbo;
This is for the Gen 3 engine, not Gen 1 or Gen 2;
