Hey free2roam mine happened shortly after yours I remembered reading about yours 15,000 miles after they replaced mine dealer said he never seen it happen twice I believed him. I was very care full with fuel and every thing I was just glad it was close to home both times, some have been in the woods wow what a headache no warning or anything just stalls wherever you are glad yours is still going how many miles since done?
Sitting at almost 39,000 miles and still running. Hot Shots EDT every tank. No complaints so far.

Had just shy of 32k and mine went out last Friday, full fuel system replacement needed. However my friend at the dealer said that FCA announced they have the new fuel pumps but haven’t shipped until they write the “fix”. Aka service bulletin.

Wow…. One would think that shouldn’t take long.

Hopefully he's right on the fix.
My wife's JLURD is at the shop right now for timing cover gasket, going this afternoon to pick it up.
Service guy told me yesterday they didn't have an ETA on the pump yet. But I guess that could be just cause they don't have the service bulletin yet.
Here to hoping??

From what I've seen and heard, the "fix" is the CP4 (not 4.2) which is equally awful.

For all concerned about the CP4.2 recall...Has anyone heard good things or bad about the CPX modified CP4? Know anyone who has used it? Used it yourself and could review it? I am thinking of trying it even though I am in line for the factory recall/repair. There are two venders marketing this pump on the internet. RCD performance describes the CPX as a Bosch CP4, modified with a DPK type relief valve/overflow container/filter for the particles/metal that all pumps generate to some degree, and most importantly a "pinned" retainer system for the rollers (2) that prevent them from floating out of their buckets due to air in system, chatter due to lack of lubrication (low sulphur fuel complaints)between the fuel pump cam and plunger roller system or water contamination in fuel. They offer 24 month no questions warranty and the price currently is $999.99, plus $200 core charge or your core. I may do this but sure would like to hear from the forum community. I do not know if FCM would pay anything as they say on the recall notice they would do if you must replace on your own before recall parts become available.

Same CP4 Pump visually, is a superceced part number I believe though.
Well that's unfortunate. Thank you for the OK news lol.

Tale it back. That sounds like a harness issue or they left something unplugged all together.

Had the same issue a year ago with a Ram that had a pump ordered and was put in while the recall was being worked on. Got told to wait till the recalls out, that truck is still sitting. Hopefully a PCM update is all you need as that’s what it seemed like the Ram needed
