3.6 vs 3.0 vs JL 4xe weight

I traded my 2020 JTR for a JTRD this weekend. Since I weighed both the day after purchased each one to have baseline weight before mods I figured I’d post the weights. And just for fun I’ve included the weights of our JL Sahara 4xe

JTR JTRD JL 4xe
F 2640 2980 2640
R 2360 2520 2660
T 5000 5500 5300

Both are have nearly identical build sheets, plastic bumpers, hardtop, no bed liner. JTRD has leather and 8.4 radio, everything else other than color is identical. Both weights are without a driver and full fuel.

My 2021 JTR, no driver, full fuel, is 4918 lbs. It's a 6 speed, cloth, 7 inch screen. Metal bumpers, hard top, and bed liner.

A lot to truck stops have CAT scales. The dealership did mine. It's part of truck registration in my state.

We get put in brackets for weights as a licensing tack-on charge. When I bought my first car, tabs were a % of the value (iirc), so I paid around $300 for my econo Golf. Shortly thereafter, we had the infamous $30 tab (for about a year), and now our tabs are still $30, but we get charged a Rapid Transit Tax (some areas), vehicle weight tax, etc. It's less than what it used to be, but it's creeping back up.

The other question is how the weights from the scales match the sticker in the door jamb.

I used a nearby Washington State vehicle enforcement scale. Many truck stops have scales, feed lots, garbage dumps, any business that sells or buys bulk product by the ton should have a certified scale.
