IMO if you're going to stay stock with w/3.73's then stay with factory settings and go up to 33's like the Rubicon. I think they would be perfect for the fit, mpg and your intended use. (Also you should be able to get a set of Rubi take-offs for a good price). Even though the diesel will accommodate 35's+ now you're changing some shift points and will eventually lean towards a lift and all the changes that go with it.

The ride won’t be changed as you’re not changing anything in the suspension. Still riding on stock springs, shocks, etc. a 1” spacer will still have some rake to it. I did a 2” and 37s when I first got mine and it sat dead level which is what I wanted. Also at the very least if you decide to add a winch or bumper down the road it won’t look like a stink bug with the 1” spacer in there.

This was with a 2” spacer and stock tires, so you can imagine a little lower in the front with 1”

Ok so seeing that maybe I should do 35s up front and a 1 in so I'm not regretting doing 33s as long as it doesn't kill my fuel mileage.

Too many options....lol , I really won't go with a lift and 37s on this one did that on my last one although it was a gasser I really didn't like it , might come down to a coin flip between 33s and 35s and just let fate take the reins....

35's are always the answer. The diesel makes plenty of torque so no need to regear. The JT is long and low so if you're ever venturing off pavement the clearance is welcome. They fit stock. All that being said, I haven't bought shaker than a 35 fur any of the 4 wheel drive vehicles I've owned in 20 years so I might be biased.

I went with take off Mojave wheels and tires and liked the look and how they rode. When the time comes that they wear out I’m going to get 35s.

One thing is for sure - you can always get a "smokin" deal on a set of 33" take offs...easy way for you to try this size out and see how it performs.

Nothing like a good old drive in the country - lol

I know what your saying - I was running into the same issue. Also keep on the look out for tire deals that you can just put on your current wheels, the holidays are coming around again and sales should be popping up!

What ever size tire you go with, the diesel won't know the difference. It's got that much torque. Get a Tazer so that you can reset your tire size so that the tranny shift points stay the same and your mph is correct.

I have 5 Rubi AT tires plus the Beta set of front springs from Clayton for a diesel. These raise the front about 1.5". I was the Beta tester for the springs. I'll let you have the springs for $100 plus shipping. The tires, I'm in sw Pa.

I appreciate it but not looking to change anything in the suspension.

When I was on Rubi takeoffs on 33s I was getting about 25MPG with all of my stuff and 2.5" lift. When I went to aftermarket wheels on 35s I am still getting about 21.5MPG.
