Jeff, did you find the Nitto 285/75 worked fine without a lift on the Overland? If you were going to do it again, would you stay with the 285 or go up to a 295, or even 305? Thanks!

Could it because America is weird in sticking with the old ways, we live in a global market world now and the rest of the world is metric, and so many tires are MADE outside of the USA and so many auto companies are based outside of the USA and why should we force our standards on others? LOL
I worked for a multi-national company - if you want to sell in Europe, you follow their rules or your product doesn't get in.
But everyone speaks english, so why can't they all just use SAE instead of Metric, too?

I'll stick to buying my fuel and milk in gallons, not liters...

NSFW...But funny!

I put Ironman All Country 35" x12.50 M/T's on the stock rims they look pretty nice. However, I have a 2.5" Icon lift.

Glad to see another Fab Fours Stubby bumper on a JT. I love mine! I've been a fan of Fab Fours since they first opened their doors...Great company with high-quality products.

Nitto Ridge Grapplers 295/70R18s with a 2.5” lift. I drove 6 hours on them this weekend and love how quite they are on the highway while still performing off road.

The last picture helps explain why I wanted 11.5 width instead of 12.5. With 70’s I could keep the tires tucked flush with the fenders and had very little mud or rocks kicked up on the body. Running boards helped as well of course...

Hello, new to the forum and was wondering if anyone is having rubbing issues on full turns with 35’s on stock 18 inch stock rims with molar factory lift. I have a 2020 overland. 35x12.5 18. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

I had 305/70/18 on my sport and no rubbing before I added my leveling kit. I did have offset wheels however so not sure if the width would have been an issue. I know have 37s on it and with the 2.5” RC leveling kit in front and spacers in the rear, no issues either.

How do you like the 12.5 on stock wheels? Any bulging or ballooning. How is the wear on the tires?

So far so good, no bulging or ballooning and great ride quality. Just have to get the rub corrected. I’ve been researching and just wondering how a mopar factory lift would cause a shift in the front end. You would think the engineers would have specified an adjustable track bar or included it in the kit. Still researching for the rubbing

Did you ever run them with no lift? If so how did it go?

Which 305's did you run. I'm stuck between a 35*12.5 and 305/70

We did not run them before the lift. Installed the lift then put the tires on so the could do the alignment as well as tire install.

Have you measured to see if the axle is offset to one side more than the other? If yes, an adj track bar would be the solution. I agree, I'm a little surprised that the Mopar kit doesn't include a track bar.

At steering lock, do the tires rub equally in both directions?

In general, those two sizes should be fairly similar in physical dimensions, though it seems the 305/70/18 tires are more often a true 35" tall while some of the 35x12.5 tires might be slightly under that. At that point, I would probably start looking at the specific tire(s) you want to run, and compare dimensions, weight, prices, etc.
